FROM IVORY'S POV.

I knew what i was doing was wrong.

but since pansy and i's little chat in the closet i've flirted with at least 2 guys by now.

and since my drunken mind was taking over my common sense, i almost couldn't help myself.

i had sat down on one of the couches beside mattheo, who was able to fight the fact that he was drunk. he was his normal self even drunk, it was odd.

"drunk?" he asked, gently nudging my arm. i nodded, throwing my head back in annoyance at my headache.

"that must suck." he scoffed with a grin since he knew he didn't take being drunk as bad as i did. i glanced at him, rolling my eyes.

"you suck." i said. he rolled his eyes too and sipped on a beer. "muggle beer sucks." he remarked in distaste.

"that's what pansy said. then she made me some odd concoction and here i am." i chuckled.

"how are you and aiden?" mattheo suddenly asked. "we're fine." i replied, staring at the ceiling.

"fine? care to add onto that?" he wondered. "you're just as nosy as theodore is. and if you must know, we're just having some disagreements on things." i grumbled.

"theo's not nosy. he just cares." mattheo shrugged and sipped on his beer again. i sipped on mine too, but clearly choked when i heard his words.

"cares? cares? are we talking about the same theodore nott? he's a relentless and careless asshole." i rolled my eyes once again at the idea of theodore ever being 'caring.'

"when you think of theo, what do you consider your terms? strangers, friends, or someone you don't like: an enemy?" mattheo asked me, turning to face me.

it took my a moment to think and respond. "well— he's not as annoying lately... so i guess... well—well, we're not friends, that's for sure. but i don't think we're like hardcore enemies anymore." i slurred, unable to explain what i meant.

"he thinks your in between people who don't like each other and friends." mattheo blurted out with another small shrug and grin.

that's when i finally turned to mattheo, my facial expression confused. "such nonsense. that's the alcohol talking, mattheo." i answered.

"yeah, you're probably right. but... i need to know the actual truth. why don't we ask him?" mattheo turned around to call theo who was across the room.

"no!" i grabbed mattheo's waving hand which motioned for theo to come over. "stop!" i exclaimed.

but it was too late, theo was already making his way over. he leaned down on his elbows on the couch. "what?" he asked mattheo.

"are you two friends?" mattheo questioned, referring to him and i.

theo glanced at me, for just a moment but it felt like a tormenting hour.
