chapter 4: the other reason

" Because I feel like it," I stated truthfully, pouring myself a glass of wine ." What do you think of this place?" He asked, still giving me that questioning look. " This place is beautiful. You booked the whole place, which is sweet and makes me feel special, but what if there are people who want to come here for their anniversary or for a date? Plus, I didn't come here to be  impressed by how much money you have, I came here to get to know you and because this is payment for your suit" I explained with a knowing look.

I know he takes women here and books the whole place just to show them that he has a lot of money and isn't afraid to use it on one woman. He looked at me for a few seconds, then chuckled.

"Fine, I'll let you pick the next place for our date, under one condition," he said with a mischievous smile on his face.       " What is it?" I asked, eager. He smiled again ." You have to guess my favorite color," he replied

" How would I know the color you like, we just met yesterday night," I asked, shocked. " Like you said, you want to get to know me. This is the first step to getting to know me," he stated with a smirk." Fine, but can't you change the condition? This one is difficult," I asked softly." What's the fun in making things easier, but it's fine if you don't want to try," he added with a devilish smile on his face.

He wants me to give up so I won't pick the place , but I won't lose. "  Okay,I think you like....silver." I answered with a pause.He quietly stared at me for a minute until our food arrived and got placed on the table. " How do you know my favorite color?"he asked curiously and suspiciously. Note,his sister didn't tell me his favorite color.

" I don't know, I noticed the silver chain  you're  wearing on your wrist and thought why not," I said, pointing to the chain on his left wrist. He looked at it,then back at me. Normally, men just  put on an expensive watch, not a watch and silver chain. Which means it probably has sentimental value." Where are we going for our second date?" He asked, stabbing a knife into his his lamb.

" That's a surprise," I said with an excited smile."Can you at least give me a clue?" He asked, looking a bit hopeful." No. I've been wondering why five dates?" I asked, changing the subject. He smiled.

" How's your food?" He asked, changing the subject. " it's delicious. Do you want to taste?" I asked, pushing my food a bit closer to his. He looked at me with wonder and confusion. " Sure," he replied about to put his fork into my food until I pulled my plate back.  He gave me a confused look. " If  I get to taste yours too," i added, pushing it back towards him ." Fine," he said, swapping our plates.

When I took a bite of his food, I felt a bit light  headed by how good they taste, so mouthwatering that I couldn't help but moan at how delicious they were. Trevor gave me a look and switched our food back. I didn't even see him take a bite of my food. Maybe his eaten the same thing before. I smiled as he looked at me.

"How do you know i will like where you take me?" He asked as I ate my fondant potatoes."I have feeling you might,"I replied with a grin on my face.

"If you say so," he said with a smirk, taking a drink of his wine. "Are you sure you won't tell me where we are going? You know I have ways?" He asked with a small devilish smile on his face. Probably thinking of ways to make me talk or hire someone to follow me. No, that doesn't sound right he doesn't seem like the stalker type, nor does he seem desperate to know where I'm taking him.maybe it's just curiousty.

"Ways like what,are you going to hire a detective to spy on me?"I asked with curious smile." That's not a bad idea," he said, thinking it over."Not a bad idea?, what did you have in mind?"I asked with a questioning look.he didn't answer my question, just stared at me.

"Is this what happens when you're curious about something?"

"What happens?"He asked
