I've been feeling more anxious lately, those pills are helping but I think they make me more aggressive.
When I expressed this to Dr. Delcamp during my follow up appointment, he seemed less than interested in what I've had to say.
"That's normal since you're getting used to it. I'm going to increase your dosage to one three milligram pill a day." He wrote down the prescription and handed it to me so I could fill it up again.
I waited until I walked out of the room to roll my eyes, I was frustrated with the doctor for not listening to me.
I headed to the pharmacy and walked over to the same pharmacist who originally filled my prescription.
"Hi, it's me again." I gave her the paper.
She looked at it before looking at me. "We'll have it done in three hours, is that a problem?"
She must have remembered how I acted last time.
"Not a problem, I have a life." I snapped at her and rushed out of the pharmacy.
I took a deep breath as I took out my now empty bottle of Xanax.
"You see, that is what I'm talking about. You're making me crazy." I said to the bottle angrily.
That's not like me at all. I'm not rude or snappy to anyone, maybe my mom. That pharmacist probably hates me now.
I walked past a sporting goods store and saw my mother's car in the parking lot.
Strange, I observed. My mother was off today but I knew for a fact that she didn't spend her days off at a sporting good store.
That could only mean that Lyndon was in there.
I walked inside looking for Lyndon in a hurry. "Lyn?" I called, looking in each aisle. "Are you here?"
I walked past rows of bicycles and helmets for what seemed for miles until I stopped to take a break.
Think, Shane. You know he's here. What sport does he like again? Boxing!
That's right, now that I thought of it, if I could find Lyndon anywhere in here, it would be by the boxing stuff.
"Do you need help finding anything, sir?" A voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"What? Oh, uh, do you sell like a punching bag? For boxing?" I asked, turning around to face the store employee.
"Sure, I'll lead you there." The employee walked off with me following him.
We entered a section filled with punching bags and boxing gloves.
And there he was, Lyndon stood by a black punching bag looking very focused as he studied it.
"Lyn!" I rushed over to him.
He turned around with an annoyed frown on his face but it disappeared into a smile when he saw me.
"You stalker, how did you know I was here?" He asked as he gave the bag a small punch.
"Oh, I was in the area. I saw my mother's car here. She let you borrow it huh?" I said.
"Yeah, one of her friends came to pick her up to take her out for lunch. I figured I would come here to pass some time." Lyndon replied.
"Find anything you like?" I had a feeling of dread as his charming smile grew bigger.
"I sure did. Look at this damn thing, I haven't had a punching bag in years. I need this." He punched the bag again.
