Roger

Roger was a friend that Lyndon had made after he had broken up with Shane.

He had told him everything about his relationship with Shane. Roger felt bad for him, but also encouraged Lyndon to move on.

There was also one dangerous thing that was slowly making Lyndon fade away. And that was painkillers.

He had been having some severe pain in his shoulder. Jonas was able to get him some Vicodin and now he was quickly getting dependent on them.

Roger was no stranger to drugs, for he had been struggling with an active meth addiction for years.

But, he didn't care that his addiction was ruining his life and his body. He just didn't want that for his friend.

"Hey." Jonas snapped his fingers in Roger's face.

"When Lyndon comes back, give him this. It's a new bottle of the stuff he's been on." Jonas handed him the bottle of Vicodin.

Roger nodded and placed the bottle in his pocket. It was pointless to argue with Jonas after all.

"I'll be back later, call me if anything happens or if you're in trouble." Jonas left quickly, closing the door behind him.

Roger waited patiently for Lyndon to come back. He got up and took the bottle into another room where he placed it on the table.

"Let me guess, Shane?" Roger asked as Lyndon arrived at a building known as "the place", a popular trap house on the south side.

"Yeah, big fight." Lyndon said as he picked up the new bottle of Vicodin that Jonas had left for him.

"Man, when are you gonna get over that guy? He keeps playing you man, and you're letting him. Why are you doing this to yourself? Roger said.

"You don't understand, not everyone likes being single like you. Shane's different, I'm trying to let him down gently but he just has this way of pulling me back in." Lyndon had a dreamy look in his eyes.

"You're delusional. Do you need like, lipstick smeared across your forehead or something to knock you back into reality? Are you guys together or not? You can't keep doing this off and on." Roger noticed his arm twitching as he spoke.

"You're just as delusional! What makes you think I'm gonna listen to you? I'm not gonna listen to someone whose arm is literally twitching. You have no idea what you're talking about." Lyndon looked angry now.

"Alright, I guess I don't." Roger held his arms up. "But, I'm serious. You need to break this off."

"I'm trying, I'm trying. It's just too damn hard! I love him but I feel like I'm gonna fucking kill him!" Lyndon punched the wall.

They both jumped back as the wall cracked.

"Woah. You have some major anger issues man, Jonas is gonna be pissed." Roger said.

"And you have no teeth. Everything's falling apart! I can't take this!" Lyndon ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

"You can, I just think you need to calm down." Roger placed his hand on Lyndon's shoulder.

Lyndon swatted Roger's hand away. "I need to be alone."

"You're really gonna be like this? You're just gonna give up? Man, I just want you to get help." Roger said.

"I don't need help, I don't want help. I just want you," Lyndon got in Roger's face. "To leave me," He placed his finger in Roger's chest. "The hell alone."
