Y/N had eagerly been awaiting her first day of college. After years of hard work, she was finally embarking on the next chapter of her life. She felt a combination of excitement and nervousness, but she was determined to make the most of this opportunity.
The morning of her first day, Y/N woke up early and took her time getting ready. She chose a cute outfit that made her feel confident, and made sure to pack everything she needed in her bag. As she walked to the bus stop, she couldn't shake the feeling that today was going to be a memorable day.
As she stepped onto the campus, Y/N was in awe of the beautiful buildings and lush green spaces. She couldn't wait to explore everything this college had to offer. She walked slowly, taking it all in, when she suddenly collided with someone.
'I'm so sorry!' Y/N exclaimed as she looked up and saw a handsome, but slightly nerdy guy in front of her. She felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment.
'No, I'm the one who should be sorry,' the guy said with a smile. 'I wasn't paying attention. Are you okay?'
Y/N nodded, still flustered by their encounter. There was something about this guy that immediately piqued her interest. He had dark, messy hair and glasses that slightly obscured his warm brown eyes. He was dressed casually, but there was an air of intelligence about him that she found intriguing.
'I'm Joseph,' he said, extending his hand.
'Y/N,' she replied, shaking his hand. 'Nice to meet you.'
'Are you a freshman here?' Joseph asked.
'Yes,' Y/N answered. 'This is my first day. What about you?'
'Same,' Joseph replied. 'I'm an engineering major. What are you studying?'
'I'm thinking of majoring in business,' Y/N said. 'I want to eventually start my own company.'
Joseph's eyes lit up with interest. 'That's amazing! I've always been impressed by people who know what they want to do. I'm still trying to figure it out.'
Y/N felt a connection with Joseph that she couldn't quite explain. She was surprised to find herself already looking forward to seeing him again.
As the day went on, Y/N couldn't stop thinking about Joseph. She tried to focus on her classes, but her mind kept wandering back to their chance encounter. When she saw him again during a break between classes, she felt a sense of relief.
'Hey, Joseph!' she called out, waving.
He looked up and smiled. 'Y/N! Hey, how's your day going?'
'It's good,' she replied. 'I just wanted to say hi and see how your day is going.'
Joseph's face broke into a grin. 'It's going great, now that I've run into you. Want to grab some lunch?'
Y/N hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. 'Sure, I'd love to.'
They found a small café near the campus and ordered sandwiches and drinks. As they sat down at a table, Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was the start of something new and amazing, she could feel it in her bones.
Joseph and Y/N talked easily as they ate, getting to know each other better. She learned that he was from a small town, and that he had always been interested in math and science. Y/N shared her own story, talking about her passion for business and her dreams of starting a company.
As the afternoon went on, Y/N found herself more and more drawn to Joseph. He was kind, intelligent, and genuine, and she found herself wanting to spend more time with him.
The rest of the semester flew by in a blur of classes, studying, and dates. Joseph and Y/N grew closer with each passing day, and she knew that she had found someone special. He had opened her eyes to a world she never knew existed, and she felt like a better person for knowing him.
As they sat on the campus green, watching the sun set, Joseph turned to Y/N. 'I have something to tell you,' he said, taking her hand.
Y/N looked at him, her heart racing. 'What is it?'
Joseph took a deep breath. 'I love you, Y/N. I know it's only been a few months, but I can't imagine my life without you. Will you be my girlfriend?'
Y/N felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. She had known that she loved Joseph for a while, but hearing him say it made it all so much more real.
'Yes,' she whispered, wrapping her arms around him. 'Yes, I'll be your girlfriend.'
Joseph smiled, pulling Y/N close. They sat there, watching the sun sink lower in the sky, knowing that they had found something special in each other. The future was uncertain, but they knew that they would face it together.
