A few days later, Y/N knew it was time to face her ex, Jake, and retrieve her belongings from their old apartment. The thought of confronting him alone was daunting, especially after what he had done. She doubted he would let her collect her things without causing trouble. So, she turned to the only people she knew she could count on: Evan and Ethan.

The decision was met with immediate agreement from both men. They had their own reasons for wanting to confront Jake—Evan for his protective instincts over his sister, and Ethan for the unspoken feelings he harbored for Y/N and his burning need for justice.

Ethan's hand curled into a fist at the mere mention of Jake, but he forced himself to focus on supporting Y/N. They devised a plan: Evan and Ethan would accompany Y/N to make sure she could collect her things without incident.

When they arrived at Jake's apartment, tension crackled in the air. Y/N felt a knot of anxiety tightening in her stomach, but a glance at Ethan and Evan's resolute expressions gave her the courage she needed. They marched up the stairs, Y/N flanked by her brother and his best friend like an impenetrable shield.

Jake opened the door with a cocky smirk that quickly faltered when he saw the formidable duo accompanying Y/N. His eyes flickered nervously between Evan's hard gaze and Ethan's clenched jaw.

"What do you want?" Jake sneered, though his bravado was clearly shaken.

"I'm here for my stuff," Y/N said firmly, her voice steady despite the churning emotions within her.

Jake's eyes narrowed, but before he could retort, Evan stepped forward, his posture radiating an unspoken threat. "We aren't here for a fight, Jake," he said coldly. "Just let Y/N get her things, and we'll be out of your hair."

Ethan's silent presence was equally intimidating. He stood slightly behind Y/N, his intense gaze never wavering from Jake, a barely contained storm of rage simmering beneath the surface.

Jake, clearly intimidated by the combined force of Evan and Ethan, stepped aside reluctantly. "Fine," he muttered. "Just hurry up."

Y/N wasted no time, moving through the apartment she once called home and methodically gathering her belongings. Each item packed away felt like reclaiming a piece of herself from the wreckage of their relationship.

Evan and Ethan followed her, offering silent support and occasionally casting warning glances at Jake, who lingered in the doorway, watching them with a sullen expression.

As Y/N packed the last of her things, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness mixed with relief. This chapter of her life was finally closing, and though it was painful, she knew it was necessary.

While helping Y/N load her belongings into the car, Evan and Ethan noticed an expensive gaming setup Jake had recently boasted about, including a top-of-the-line gaming console and a collection of high-end accessories. A mischievous glint passed between them.

Evan smirked at Ethan. "Think Y/N could use some new entertainment?" he whispered, barely containing his amusement.

Ethan's eyes sparkled with a mix of mischief and vengeance. "Absolutely," he replied quietly.

Without a second thought, they discreetly added the gaming gear to Y/N's pile of belongings, carefully ensuring that Jake remained oblivious.

Finally, they loaded the last box into the car. Y/N turned to face Jake one last time, her expression a mix of resolve and liberation. "Goodbye, Jake," she said simply, her voice strong and unwavering.

Jake scowled but said nothing, his gaze darting nervously between Y/N and the imposing figures of Evan and Ethan.

As they drove away, Y/N felt a weight lift from her shoulders, a sense of closure settling in. Evan, sitting in the driver's seat, glanced at her in the rearview mirror with a reassuring smile. "You okay?" he asked.
