So, I didn't do a lot of world building because I didn't really know how to implement it in the story itself. This is for more context on everything.
1: Rosa.
She's similar to a leader in the underworld but more in a Popular Girl™ type of way.
She is loosely based on a real-life mummy because I wanted the character to be someone who is perfectly preserved, but the mummy in question is a child and I ultimately didn't want to put a real dead person in this.
2: Final wishes.
The wish you make right before you die is your ticket to an afterlife. Once your wish has been fulfilled, you get transported to whatever afterlife you believed in.
If you die without a wish, you simply cease to exist.
Most people in the underworld have impossible wishes that can never be fulfilled, so it's widely believed that there is no other afterlife.
Some wishes that are possible become impossible later on due to the nature of the wish itself. For example: "I wish for Danny to move on." If Danny doesn't move on before he dies, you're stuck.
