Waking Up as in Coming Home

The Battle

"Steve...! Steve wake up" Hugh shakes his son to wake. "We have to go!"

"Where are we going?" Hugh rubs his eyes.

"I go get Theo. U get dressed"

Hugh runs out of the room and sees his wife standing back up and there is a mysterious woman behind her. He hurries to run to the girls' room.

"Hugh! No!" Olivia screams. "Don't take them away from me!"

"Come on! We have to leave here!" Hugh says urgently to Theo.

"What about mum?" Hugh ignores Theo's question and just carries the young one down the stairs.

"Shirley, grab my shirt"

They once again leave the room and Olivia catches a glance of the trio. "Shirl! Theo!"

"Mummy!"

Hugh has to push Shirley to move. "Don't look at her. Keep moving!"

"No no no...he's not taking them away from me" Olivia mumbles to herself.

"He is taking your babies away" Poppy whispers next to Olivia.

"My twins..." Olivia hurries to the twins' room. She walks past Sarah's room and sees an elderly woman sitting on the bed which is the spirit who has been telling Sarah to save the Crain.

"She's a liar" the elderly spirit tells Olivia. This time she appears to tell Olivia about Poppy. "She lies to u"

"Can u help me?" Olivia almost whispers to the elderly woman. She already can't differentiate anything at this state. "I wanna wake up." She is so confused by the ghosts and reality. All she has is fear and the urge to wake up. "I wanna wake up from this strange dream"

Olivia once again wanders on the second floor as if she forgets to look for her kids. She walks towards the staircase. "I wanna wake up so badly..." she cries and turns her head to talk to Poppy.

"Then wake up, dear" Poppy points at the ground floor.

"Olivia!" Sarah shouts.

"Jesus! U gotta go as well" Hugh catches Sarah while she's looking for Olivia.

"I can handle this. U all leave"

"No!" Hugh insists.

"I'm a witch ok?! I can deal with it. Now go!" Sarah pushes Hugh and the kids out of the main entrance.

Sarah looks up and sees Olivia already has half of body beyond the fence. "Olivia!" She knows that no matter how she screams, Olivia won't get her control back.

There are a lot of other evil spirits beside Poppy Hill. It's formed a great force to go against Olivia. Sarah says out various spells while going up the stairs. The evil spirits can't stand the spells. Sarah is a skilled witch. She's got that from her parents. She almost uses the strongest spell to fight against the dark force.

Olivia stop crossing over the fence. Instead, she yells again. It's because her own soul is fighting against the dark energy which has been inside her since day 1 she stepped into the house.

Poppy Hill is struggling as well but she can still come closer to Sarah.

"You're killing her. Look at her" Poppy tries to lure Sarah to stop.

Sarah turns to pull Olivia away from the fence and ignores Poppy. Grey smoke is leaving Olivia and it's going towards the window.

Suddenly, there's a hand pushing Olivia towards to the fence. Sarah pushes Olivia away from the fence once again and let herself be pushed off the fence.

The time is frozen when Sarah is falling. She takes off her cinnabar bracelet and throws it at Poppy Hill. She's not dying without doing nothing.

"ARGHHHHH!!!" Poppy screams in pain. She's on fire and turning into ashes.

Bang!

Olivia hits her head on the wall when Sarah pushed her away from the fence. She heard a loud bang when she's herself again which she has 'woken up'.

Her senses start coming back as her, Olivia Crain. She's holding her head and stumbles to find the witch. The bracelet on the floor catches her eyes. "Oh no" she picks that up and looks over the fence.

Olivia rushes downstairs and kneels next to the young Malaysian girl who is bleeding a lot from her head.

"No! No! No! No!" Olivia is already crying. She gently pulls the girl's head onto her lap. "I'll take u to the hospital. Stay with me"

Sarah raises her right hand weakly and touches Olivia's hand. "Warmer...finally..." Sarah says almost like a whisper. "Are u awake now...?"

"Yes I am" Olivia starts crying hysterically. "Hang in there" she tries to pick up Sarah but at the same time she's so scared to move the fragile girl.

"Tak...take my ashes back...to Ipoh, Ma...Malaysia. Ask for the...grave of Fredrick and Cassandra Lim...I wanna stay with...my parents. I...I'm alone here"

"No...you're not alone. You have us" Olivia holds Sarah's hand tightly and presses her hand against her chest.

Sarah smiles weakly but widely. "You're not...not mad that I lied to u. M...my parents died in...in an exorcism" after finishing the sentence, she coughs blood which indicates her lungs are severely injured. "I'm...sorry..." her hands go limp...

"Nooooo!!!! I'm not ready to say goodbye!" Olivia screams brokenheartedly.
