HI

JEONGGUK'S POV:

A pile of work. A nasty pile of work is remaining and all I could think about is my newly wedded life partner. His name is Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. My replaced bride, I got married to him instead of his sister.

Abeoji owed Taehyung's father as Kim Jaehwan once helped him by buying the stocks of our company. Abeoji denied this marriage proposal as soon as Mr Kim contacted him, he never wanted my life to become a deal. But Jeons never owe anything. We pay back, ten folds. My marriage was fixed with Kim Ji-soo, Mr Kim's daughter. I'd never met her personally just in a family gathering and our engagement, twice.

I'd enquired about her. She was in a relationship with Ahn Bo-hyun, an advocate. She's left him after our marriage was fixed. She was a soft-spoken girl. Even if it was a marriage deal, I'd made up my mind I'd do all my duties as a husband.

But then I saw him.

That day, me, Jeon Jeongguk watched the slip of a boy in a colorful red hoodie coming down the steps of the church. He was...he was... beautiful. For a man who had a low opinion of everything and everyone, even life, it was an astounding admission to make, even in the silent recesses of my mind.

As I sat in the cool confines of my SUV and watched him, he smiled. For one second, my heart seemed to stop. Was he smiling at me? The twinkling eyes, the pearly white teeth, the pink, rosebud lips, eyes that glittered in the morning light, the dangling earring in an ear that seemed to invite my fingers to send them swinging, his small and red nose... Then I saw him dive into his tote bag and come up with a handful of something that he fed to the puppies that surround him, the puppies he had been smiling at.

I gulped. The puppies gathered around their kind, young benefactor. His smile widened. The smile on his face!

I sat on my driving seat and kept watching him. He fed those puppies, pat them and left from there a while later. I was there at the Church which was related to the NGOs where our company donates. These things were personally taken care by Abeoji, and now it's me.

I kept looking around a while driving slowly and saw the boy finding his way towards the university across from the second street. He was a student.

The second time, I was blessed by glimpse of his face was when I was getting engaged. He was present in the ceremony hall, hiding away in the corner and left a moment later to confide in the silent garden of the Hotel. I stood in the balcony staring at him and he sat down on the swing, keeping his head on the chains while holding them tight. I stood there and he slept. The slow wind moving his soft hair giving me the look of his face in the shining moonlight.

Soon enough, just as he'd fallen asleep he was woken up by my brother-in-law, Kim Namjoon.

 After then, I got know he's my other brother-in-law, my fiancee's step-brother.

His name was Kim taehyung.

As far as I got the information,  Kim Ji-soo and Kim Namjoon loved him as their own brother. Dong-yeon gave me the details of this family. I was aware about most of them but him. Too many questions arose in my mind ..he's the step child, were his father and step-mother kind to him?

Marriage day neared and I knew my fiancee was meeting her ex or boyfriend. I thought she'd leave him knowing she was getting married but she eloped with him. A bold move. She choose her love, but like a coward. She would've came in front of me and declared , I'd have released her from this engagement that exact moment but she choose to elope, ready to make a statement about Jeon family in the next day news.

Abeoji accepted the apology of Kims in the form of a exchanged bride for me. He said he knows what he's doing. I was getting married again. I was ready to oppose but I saw the picture of my replaced bride. It was him. My smiling boy. Kim Taehyung.

And now it's been 10 days we'd married and he's molding himself as a Son-in-law.

Every night, I change my clothes in the bedroom and sleep here in my Home office not because I don't want him to get uncomfortable, I know he's doing his duty as my partner and he's not uncomfortable....I'm here because of the pile of work I've.

But he's asked me to sleep in the bedroom from now on and not to stay up working late. I cannot decline him. He's my other half now. We have 11 years of age-gap. Damn. I caught him asking my age from Sun-jae. He should ask me whatever he want.  And I liked it when he came here a few minutes before to talk about his University classes.

And Eomma once said , that's what spouses do... they take decisions together. For him, getting me as his husband was definitely not on his list, he's only 20 years old and I'm 31. But now that it's done, I know he won't back off when he's already accepting abeoji and eomma as his father and mother . He's being perfect as a son-in-law.

Closing the Office door shut behind me, I moved up the stairs towards our bedroom. The room was quiet, he is not on the bed where he usually sleeps when I come around to change my clothes. He is in the balcony. I changed my clothes and then my feet moved towards the balcony door automatically.

His back was facing me . It seemed like he heard my footsteps and turned around. The mirth in his eyes and the delicate lines of his face.

''You came''

 I nodded.

''You finished early today?''

''Hmm'' I hummed looking at him. He smiled.

''Let's sleep. You must be tired.'' he asked me. We sound like a couple having conversation after their long day.

I nodded again looking at him. He moved his feet towards me where I stood blocking the gate. He fiddled his fingers wanting to ask me to move but stood silently waiting for me to move.

I moved inside the room. In a few minutes we lay inside the covers, side by side. No conversation, only silence. I heard his soft breathing as sleep took over me .
