Everything has been peaceful since things ended with the Volturi. There haven't been any more vampires, except your few wonderers here and there. The guys are not on patrol as much and are able to spend more time with their families.
We were all just chilling at Emily's house goofing around. I was looking around at everyone smiling because it couldn't get much better than this. Seeing everyone together makes me think of something.
"Hey Stiles?" His head whips towards me.
"Yeah?"
"Are we ever going to meet your friends back from Beacon Hills?" He doesn't say anything at first, and neither does Danny.
"I mean, you are always telling us stories about them. I'm just wondering if we are ever going to meet them, especially this Scott McCall you keep talking about."
"He told you stories?" Danny asks, and I nod my head.
"Did he tell you about the time that Scott's mom grounded Scott from him?" I got wide-eyed, and Paul started laughing.
"Danny! What the hell!?!?!?" Stiles looks at Danny, and he just shrugs his shoulder.
"How did that happen?" Quil asks. Danny goes to open his mouth, but Stiles beats him to it.
"We got caught doing something stupid again, probably because my dad was Sheriff, and I always listened in on his calls. Now that I think about it, I can now see I was the one getting us in the most trouble. Oops. Anyways, the only place he was allowed to go to was work. At first, she tried to ground him from his tv and computer, but his tv was broken and needed the computer for school. Well, she saw me standing behind them and decided to say 'No Stiles.' She thought she was only punishing him, but she ended up punishing us both." We all laughed at that.
"You never did answer my question, Stiles. Are we ever going to meet them?" I ask.
"You know, they are probably busy with life or something." He looks down at the table while speaking to me. I know he's trying to make up excuses. Then it clicks.
"Hey, Stiles? Where do they think you are right now?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're making excuses because you can't look at me in the eye and tell me the truth. So either you are ashamed of us, which I doubt it. If you are, then it will be because of Jared and Embry." They start protesting when I say their names.
"Or they don't know that you are here. Which one is it?" He was quiet for a minute before he muttered something.
"What?" Paul asks. "We can't hear you." Stiles just rolls his eyes.
"They don't know I'm here," he finally says.
"WHAT?!?!?" I exploded.
"I'm sorry!"
"Oh my gosh, Stiles! Where do they think you are right now?"
"Traveling." I gave him a pointed stare, and he starts to sink in his seat. Like that can save him from me.
"When was the last time you spoke to any of them?"
"The day I got here." I put my head in my hands for a moment before looking back up at him.
"What did you tell them?"
"That I was in Beijing helping out with missions while also vacationing and that I'll be there for awhile so I'll contact them as soon as I'm not busy." I let out a huge sigh.
"The time in Beijing is 13 hours ahead," Danny said. "Nice going dingleberry."
"Call them up, Stiles, and tell them the truth. Once you do that, tell them to come down so we can meet them," Emily says. We can all see he is having an internal debate in his head.
