I wake up one morning to a phone call. When I go to see who it is, it's Bella. What the hell? I ignore it because I want nothing to do with her and her new family. She lost all rights to contact me the minute her leeches decided to kidnap Ahiga. That is something I will never get over. Even though they left a few days after getting him back, I made him sleep in our room for one month because I was so paranoid. I mean, wouldn't you if your child got kidnapped by a physcopath?
I look to my side and Paul is already gone. If he's up, then he most likely has Ahiga also. I get up, get dressed and go out to the front room looking for Paul. I find them, along with everyone else, outside playing in the yard.
Ever since Ahiga walked the other night at the bonfire, he's been all over the place. One minute he is next to us and the next he is gone. We can't take our eyes off of him for one second or he's going to disappear.
Ahiga is loving all the attention on him, especially from the women and Danny. Jared and Stiles try to get him to do all kinds of things now that he can walk. All of us constantly have to remind them that he is only 10 months old and some of the stuff they want to do with him will have to wait until he's older.
I'm broken out of my thoughts when my phone rings and it's Bella again. I ignore my phone and sit it to the side. Paul asked me who it was that was calling and told him it was Bella.
"This is her second time calling." That got everyone's attention and Paul got angry.
"Why is she calling?" Sam asks. Everyone else was curious also. We haven't heard from any of them for 6 months and all of a sudden, they decide to call. Something seems a little fishy now that I think about it.
"I don't know. I've been ignoring her calls. She lost all rights when our son was kidnapped." I stated and they all agreed with me. Paul is the only one that knew what we went through with Ahiga a month after getting him back. Every once in a while, even after putting Ahiga back in his room, I will start feeling paranoid and get up in the middle of the night to check on him to make sure he is still there.
My phone starts ringing again and it's Bella. Before I could ignore the phone call, Jared asked me to answer it to see what she wants. Paul and Stiles glared at him, but I told him I would. I mean, what could she possibly want?
"What do you want?" I'm just ready to get to the point and end this phone call.
"Well, hello to you too Evelyn," Bella says in a sarcastic tone. She's wrong if she thinks I'm going to be nice to her.
"You lost all pleasantries when your husband and sister-in-law decided it was okay to kidnap my son." She didn't say anything for a moment and knew I was right.
"Now, what is it that you want? I got things to do today."
"We need your help." I started laughing at that statement.
"You need my help? How about no?"
"Please! Someone saw my daughter and thinks she's an immortal child. They have went to the Volturi before they gave us a chance to explain. Now, they are coming to kill us. We are trying to gather witnesses." I continued laughing at the situation.
"This isn't funny Evelyn!"
"I think it's hilarious! Give me one very, very good reason why we should help a family that kidnaps children when they don't get what they want. Honestly, if it was my choice, you all would've been dead by now and laying at my feet." Bella gasped and I heard someone gasp in the background also.
"I'm waiting to hear this reason." She then decided to speak up, but she mumbled at first. "Sorry, I don't understand mumble. You're gonna have to speak up."
