Nijika's New Episode

Nijika's Start (1)

It was a normal day in Shimokitazawa High School everybody in the class was talking about everyday stuff, holidays, gossip and homework. but the tone changed as the teacher came in.

 "Good morning everybody, today we will introduce our new classmate, who recently moved from Osaka. Come on in!"

Nijika gets excited and curious about who the new student might be, and pays attention to the door, slowly creaking open.

A tall boy, around 180cm roughly, slowly came into the class, with messy grey hair, and emerald eyes. the girls started whistling and whispering to each other. Nijika heard a few rumours about the boy, but never expected to be this handsome.

"Edvin. Edvin Heinonen. I am half Finnish, and half Japanese. I moved from Osaka, Nice to meet you."

The girls started whistling, some even being brave enough to ask for his number. 

Although Nijika was quite surprised and found herself glancing at him, she didn't find herself in love with him. (yet) and thought it would be nice to make some friends. but scrambles her thoughts and continues thinking about the merchandise for the Kessoku Band.

While Nijika was too busy staring down at her table, thinking about an idea, her body froze as the teacher said "Edvin, Could you sit next to Nijika over there? she is going to be your temporary buddy until you get used to this school."

Nijika felt her body temperature fall, and she did not know the reason why.

Nijika takes a deep breath, and waves over to Edvin to show where she is.

Edvin takes a seat next to Nijika, placing his bag behind, Nijika knew she needed to do something to make Edvin comfortable, but she hadn't talked to boys before, and found herself stuck in an awkward silence.

The first lesson finished, and there was a 15-minute break, Nijika as always, waited for Ryo. But she realised Ryou was absent, and she was all by herself for the day.

Halfway through break time, when she was designing the merchandise, she unexpectedly got struck up in a conversation by Edvin.

"Oh, uhm. Hello. Nijika... was it? nice to meet you..."

Nijika replies with a faint smile "Nice to meet you, Edvin. Looks like I am your buddy for now." she chuckles

Edvin tried making a conversation, "Oh, Where are you fr-" but was interrupted by Girls, and Edvin was later surrounded and drowned by a bunch of Girls.

Nijika stared with a small chuckle before she got back to sketching a draft for their merchandise.

Break time ended, and Nijika concentrated on her class. She was rather surprised when she saw Edvin getting none of his textbooks out, and just sleeping so peacefully as the teacher's tone went higher and higher to try to wake him up.

Nijika nudges Edvin softly "Edvin? wake up..."

Edvin wakes up and looks around confusingly, and is later warned and scolded by the teacher.

Nijika chuckles as she sees Edvin not being scared or sorry at all against the teacher.

lessons had passed, and it was lunchtime, normally Nijika would eat lunch with Ryo, but this time she was alone, so she was planning to eat by herself until Edvin asked her.

"Nijika-chan? Mind if I have lunch with you?"

Nijika, was surprised, as she never got any request from anybody to eat lunch with her, and stuttered in her words for a second.

"Sure thing, Edvin kun"

Edvin moved his table, connecting to Nijikas and eating lunch together, Edvin struck up a conversation.

"So... you normally eat by yourself?"

"Nope, I normally have a friend of mine who eats with me."

Edvin shows a hint of Disappointment

"Oh, okay."

Nijika realises the tone of disappointment in Edvin's reply. "any problem?"

Edvin goes red and shakes his head "N-nothing..." he mutters "just wanted to spend more time alone with you..."

Nijika felt her heartbeat go fast "Pardon me? I think I misheard something..."

Edvin quickly denies "N-No it's nothing..." stuffing rice into his mouth.

Nijika, even if she was curious, decided not to question, for now.

They talked to each other more, asking each other questions, and all of a sudden she found herself comfortable around him.

But Nijika felt too comfortable, and a question slipped right through her mouth.

"What is your type..?" 

Edvin turns red and drops his chopsticks onto the ground

Nijika realised how much of a question she asked. 

"W-Wait no! Take that back! ignore the question! forget it!" shaking her head and trying to clear her mind. oh gosh, why did I ask him that????? she asks herself in her head.

But Edvin answered with a red face.

"I like caring, cheerful, ponytail girls." and glances over Nijika. with a red face. "Just like you."

He reaches his hand near Nijika's.

Hello Everybody! This is the first fan fiction I made so far! how is it? sorry if there is any mistake of some sort.. heh heh... I get a nervous wreck sometimes.
