Nijika Ijichi, a drummer of Kessoku band was going through the school year as always, boring and lonely. but then, everything started changing as Edvin joined the school.
First, they were just friends, nothing more. but nobody expected their relatio...
Edvin turns red and smiles at Nijika's attempt to cut the conversation between Ryo and Edvin by tugging Edvin towards her.
Edvin slowly reaches out for Nijika's yellow, soft hair. and pats it. gesturing for her to wait until school ends.
Nijika, despite jealousy and a bit of betrayal, lets go of Edvin, knowing she should not risk Ryo knowing her secret. Nijika indulged and survived the wave of jealousy as break time continued. normally break time would've been over within a blink, but this time. it was different. every second felt like an eternity.
The bell rang, and the break finally ended, Nijika sighed and prepared for the lesson.
Nijika had a hard time listening to the teacher as Ryo kept talking and gesturing to Edvin. Does... Edvin-Kun like Ryou more then me..? Nijika's heart sank...It's fine... Nijika... keep yourself together, they are just having fun, just having fun... Nijika copies down everything the teacher says so that she can catch up on learning later on.
This continued lesson after lesson...
It was lunchtime "Nijika-chan do you want to eat lunch with me today?" Edvin asks. Nijika pops out of her bubble. "S-sure" Ryo later comes in "I'll join." Nijika felt disappointment as Ryo joined. What am I thinking?? why am I disappointed that Ryo is joining us? I should be happy about it...
The 3 connected their tables, and all sat and ate their lunches while having a conversation, Nijika-chan started a conversation with a teasing tone "So... Ryo is getting a little too romantic with Edvin-kun heh?" she glared at Ryo. Ryou blushes a little "No. not at all." looking down at her bento box. but then, Ryou strikes back "Are you jealous?" that 1 word felt like a punch in the stomach, and her heart started pounding like a drum. Nijika replies "W-What?? No!" Ryo then sees Nijika's reaction. and smiled a little. but in a devilish way.
"Open your mouth, Edvin-kun." Edvin opens his mouth. Ryo fed Edvin some of her food. Nijika felt jealous and annoyed. She knew Ryou was doing this on purpose, she likes playing with people's emotions.
She notes down to herself: Never let Ryo sit with Edvin. Ryo finishes her Bento and goes away to wash her hands. Edvin notices Nijika staring into Ryo leaving with cold eyes. Edvin knew he had to act fast. "Nijika-Chan, is Ryo bothering you..?" Nijika tries to retain her normal composure, "No.. nothing.. really..."

Edvin sighed, and brushed her hair gently, "It's fine Nijika-Chan, feel free to talk to me when we meet up" Nijika felt embarrassed "C...Cut it out Edvin-Kun!" and protested weakly, but she couldn't deny that her body enjoys this. Ryo comes back, and Edvin gently puts his hand away from Nijika's hair.
Nijika then smiles and imagines herself, after school with Edvin, thinking about what might happen or what she should do, and starts feeling relieved and good, knowing she has time to deepen her relationship with Edvin. even if he is taken by Ryo, for now.
The chime rang and the lunch ended, everybody separated their desk and started their lesson. come on... just 1 lesson before school ends...! Nijika mumbles to herself. The lesson was geography, so Ryo and Nijika worked together to finish their group project they had both been working on for months, and Edvin was doing geography brain puzzle questions at the corner of the room.
Nijika, despite being in the same team, felt some teamwork relationship with Ryo, but she knew Ryo was her rival. Nijika leans in onto Ryo's ears. and whispers to her in a cold voice "he's Mine." the word went down Ryou's spine, giving her chills. the way she said it didn't show any tone of friendliness.
________________________________________________________________________________School ended, and it was time for everybody to end their day, but for Nijika, it was a start of second match, she was going out with Edvin.
She quickly packed her bags and waited at the entrance for Edvin.
Edvin came slowly "Hello, Nijika-Chan! Where should we head to" Nijika quickly tugs Edvin, away from the school so they won't get found by Ryo.
Nijika tugs Edvin to a cafe. and puts him onto a seat "So... what do you want to get..Nijika-Chan?" Nijika orders a cold Latte. Nijika starts a conversation
"How is school so far?"
"Yeah it's good"
"nice to hear that"
They both went into an awkward silence, Nijika asked "Do... you like Ryo?" Edvin turns red. "W-what... no... why all of the sudden..?" Nijika shakes her head and replies "You.. look so happy and cheerful talking with her.." Edvin swiftly responds "But that doesn't mean I like her... I also like talking with you, Nijika-Chan, perhaps more than Ryo." Nijika froze, and her body temperature fell. "W-what does that mean...?" Edvin turns red "Perhaps... I... like..y-" but was interrupted by a waiter, bringing Nijika's cold latte.
Nijika quickly tries to recall what Edvin said: "D.. did you just say.." But Edvin says "No, it's nothing... Nijika-chan, something must've got your ears..." Nijika sighs from disappointment and gets annoyed at the waiter who interrupts. She notes to herself: don't tip the waiter here.
Nijika realises what the time is, and remembers that she needs to be home within 20 minutes. "Sorry Edvin-Kun, I need to go now...." Edvin nods and follows her. it was raining outside. Edvin smiled at Nijika "I can drop you off at your home." taking out his umbrella. Nijika protested "N-No its fine, Edvin-Kun! I am used to this sort of thing, and I need to take responsibility for not bringing my umbrella!" But Edvin replies fast "Do you want to make me sad?" Edvin tugs Nijika into the umbrella. and walks with her.
Edvin and Nijika walked in the rain together, in silence, but for some reason, it felt nice and comfortable. to the point where Nijika got a little sleepy, and leaned onto Edvin's arm.
She reached home, and Edvin dropped her off "See you tomorrow, Nijika-chan." Nijika smiled, and waved, watching Edvin slowly walk away.
Nijika's Sister, Seika. tapped from her behind, Nijika looks back. and saw her sister's devilish teasing smile. Nijika prepared for the worst.
"Made yourself a new boyfriend huh? I am proud"

Hello Everybody! my second day into working for "Nijika's New Episode"! how is it? i made this rivalry between Ryou and Nijika! sorry if the ending was... at the bad timing, but thank you everybody!!
