When him, & Luna were in existence Orion couldn't get enough of being with them and was scared to leave them... Orion wouldn't even let their own parents near him and Luna. As Lotus and Luna grew, Orion was the one who taught them things. So when Orion died, him and Luna were devastated. He was scared to lose Luna too so he was protective of her. When Shara was around he didn't trust Shara and tried to tell Luna that Shara was not to be trusted but Luna didn't listen and said that he was too protective... And she flew off... One day Lotus was out flying and searching for Luna when he was sent down by a net which Luke fired accidentally... And he lost his right tail fin. Luke set him free and they became friends like how Toothless and Hiccup did... But one day... Him and Luke were captured by Grimmel and were then suddenly working for him... Lotus had a muzzle on every-time he was on a mission except his last mission which is when he met up with his sister again... When he saw Luna, he was surprised and mad cause Grimmel promised him that he would leave Luna out of the missions... But he realized that maybe having Luna as his and Luke's partner wasn't so bad. One day Lotus was drugged from the venom and was told it was to help him and he believed Grimmel... He told Luna that it wasn't so bad and helped Luna get used to it... But when him and Luna escaped, Lotus met Alora & Junna. Luna found him and said she was sorry for getting angry with him and not believing him when Shara was around and Lotus said that he already forgave her for that. Alora and Junna saw and smiled than the next thing he remembers is seeing Shadow and getting hit by some sort of dart and fell unconscious. And when he woke up he was in a cage. And it continues from there. He escaped again with Luna again and Luke this time and they flew off to be with the others and Shadow followed them as Shadow was done serving Grimmel and doing his dirty work. And Lotus helped Luna try to stop seeing Geno but soon ended up like her... Fell for someone by the name of Blackdust he thought he could trust and he loved and tried to convince himself that he was crazy and Luna tried to warn him than he made up an imaginary lover and Luna tried to help with that too... Lotus was like Luna in a way... And he was still hanging out with Luke. They are buddies and one day when he was out on a flight... He saw something... A shadow fury... One of the most rarest dragons to be read about. And he fell for him.
