Mohana found herself standing outside the doors that led into the wolf's den. Daksha stood behind her lady holding a bowl of the herbal paste that Mohana had ordered her to bring along with some clean cotton cloth.
Mohana sucked in a long breath, trying to calm her rattled heart. She knocked on the door and bit her lip as she heard the 'Come in' in his deep familiar voice.
Mohana pushed the doors and walked in to find Rudra standing by the bed holding a scroll in his hand. She came to a halt in front of the chairs, couple feet away from him. Daksha set down the paste and cloth on the table and stood beside her lady, her head bowing in respect.
"Ekant", Rudra said, forcing Daksha to step out of the room.
Mohana stood frozen in her place as she saw him slowly approach her, like a wolf preying on a lost lamb.
Rudra smirked as he observed her guarded expression and he said,
"You can relax, I won't bite"
"At least not yet", He continued and chuckled as he saw her eyes widen in embarrassment. She could act like the fiercest tigress out there but flush in embarrassment when he teased her and he loved every second of it.
"Show me your hand", Mohana grumbled under her breath, wanting to be out of his space before he charmed her into doing exactly what she wished for.
Rudra sat down on the chair and extended his big hand towards her, palm facing downwards to show the angry red skin on his knuckles filled with lacerations. Mohana stood in front of him, standing only a few inches tall even when he was seated down. She quickly got to work as she scooped up the paste and gripped his big hand in hers to keep it steady. She could feel his intense gaze on her as he carefully applied the candula and aloe vera paste on his cuts, wincing at the severity. She quickly wrapped the clean cloth around his palm, carefully covering the wounds. Without looking him in the eyes she whispered,
"All done"
She was about to step away when the same hand that she had just bandaged reached out and grabbed her wrist pulling her into him. Mohana yelped as she fell into his lap, her other hand falling on his hard chest to stabilize herself. Mohana's eyes widened as she stared at his lips mere inches away from hers.
"I hate it when you try to run away from me"
Mohana gulped as she stared up at his eyes. She tried to pull her hand out of his hold but he grabbed her other hand and held them both behind her back, pushing her chest against his, not even an inch of space between them. Mohana was basically straddling him with her legs on his side of his and her front flushed against his.
"Tch tch, you still haven't learned yet. The more you try to escape me, the harder I'll keep you to myself, princess. Are you that repulsed by me?", He asked, his face hardening.
'The opposite, actually', Mohana wanted to scream but she uttered something else
"I already treated your wound, what more do you want from me?"
"If I wanted to get it treated, I would have called the healers but I called you, jaan. Won't you kiss it better for me?", He asked in mock innocence.
"Absolutely not! You bought this upon yourself. Now deal with it", Mohana snapped in annoyance.
"You bought this upon me. None of this would have happened if that boy had kept his distance from you", Rudra said in a dangerous voice.
"That man is my friend! You cannot just threaten someone's life like that", Mohana grit out.
"I can and I will when it comes to you. You make me irrational, Mohana. I get enraged even when another man breathes in your direction, you think he is allowed to be so near in your vicinity? No one is allowed to do that except me" His eyes glazing over with a possessive look.
