"Fuck..."

"Bro, let me hide behind you!"

"Bro, you'd sacrifice your best bro!"

"Yeah, bro, If you save me now then I'll let you top me next time,"

"Damn! You sound scared even of his shadow, Ira. He's far away, he can't even see you from there."

"Are you crazy bro? Don't take my name! I have stopped being scared of ghosts ever since I have seen him using his knife for sculpting on humans."

"I'll be fine with being killed by him. But if he's the one who decides our punishment, it will be endless. He's the kind of guy who won't allow the victims to die until he has his fun," Jaxton agreed.

"You don't need to tell me. That's why I want to hide behind someone strong like you, bro!" Ira replied, hiding behind a big-bellied Jaxton who was a bit taller than him.

"Oh! Bro, you're a real pussy! Hahaha!" the big-bellied man mocked.

"As if you don't like licking balls, you fucking pig,"

"Come here, stupid Ira. I'll let you see that your balls are the tastiest."

"No! Let me go! I haven't even got my share yet!"

"You'll have the first bite. Come here, I'll make sure to lick every part of your body, including your asshole!"

"Lick your own asshole!"

"Shhh...he's about to walk by...."

The atmosphere at Sunford Academy had become tense ever since Alpha showed up as the Knight in shining armour to save his Luna when everyone was thinking that he would participate in teaching the weakling a lesson as he's been doing all this time to others.

But what happened was beyond everyone's expectations. Where they were hoping for a bloodbath, they were encountered with a cliché romance story where a hero suddenly appeared out of nowhere to save his heroine. The only difference was that there was a hero in place of a heroine this time.

As Alpha walked past the students, their hearts pounded in their chests, their breaths caught in their throats. The atmosphere grew suffocating, as if the air had turned heavy with an unspoken dread. Whispers carried between them with nervousness, their eyes looking down, avoiding any direct eye contact with the predator, and giving the space for the lurking beast to pass through in peace.

And when he was finally out of sight, and the footsteps faded, did they all let go of the breaths they were holding.

"Phew! I just feel like I survived a heart attack in my lungs!"

"He definitely drinks fear for breakfast in his cannibal kitchen. I was about to piss my pants off. I just hope that I'm not on his menu for the Sacrifices month."

"Awww, come here, let me give you a comforting hug!"

"Hey—-! Jax, put me down! Where are you taking me? That's not how you hug—Hey, listen, bastard!"

"We will hug in our dorm."

Among the deepest fears, they all live behind the mask of silly remarks and nervous laughter that has become a brief escape from the overwhelming disasters because living with rationality is something they can only dream of in this place, as nobody knows when or how they would lose their lives. They believe human existence is fragile, and they're just pawns of unknown tragedies.

And above all of that stood a sinister tyrant of their existence, his mere presence oozed an aura of absolute power. His eyes, void of empathy or mercy as he pushed the doors with an emotionless face. But the scene that unfolded before him made his face twist in disgust.
