CHAPTER 05. | why are you running?
"come on, why are you running?" [name] questions with no emotion, trailing behind the demon at a pace, deciding to play along with its little game of tag. "don't tell me, you're a coward?" she questions, watching as the demon's action became stiff for a moment.
hilarious. after the bold declaration to make her pay for taking their 'plaything,' and suddenly now they decide they want to play a game of tag — running away.
"your confidence and then making a run for it is quite bold,"
no answer, just continuous running.
[name] dully notes this isn't the same presence they felt. the one they felt earlier vanished. it seems she has to look further into it, after this.
"tag is over, you're it." the [h/c]ette leaped closer to the demon, delivering a blow and cutting off its leg in the process.
of course, it regenerated and the demon had let out a tiny squeak out of fear, switching paths last second and ran away. she perked up when she noticed it began to slightly speed up its pace in running as it created a larger distance between the two.
