Annie Ashlynn was an intelligent and witted girl, but was just as ordinary as any other little genius who are only slightly higher in the grade than what their age marks them to be. But as she encounters this adventure that was experienced by her and her friends, she began to grow into a courageous, wise and dangerous alerted girl. Yet, she was only at the young age of 11, and she had already valued herself to be a fine courageous young lady when she had fully grown. Much to the surprise of everyone, she was sometime stubborn and protested quite often, but developments eventually takes place. Which was a valuable change in her life, and it was all due to this; one adventure about a relaxing vacation, unsuspected and carefree, nothing to worry about. Annie had to both appreciate this adventure and to resent it for it left a piece of her heart empty and hollow.
"Thanks, mother, the ham in the sandwich was nice." Annie said gradually as she piled herself and her magenta backpack in the car, her mother was settling in her seat, fumbling in her bag for the car keys. Even if she was busy seeking the car keys in the bag, she had managed a sweet smiled peered straight at Annie. How she adored that girl, from the first day she was born, she was a favorite in the family, gentle and intelligent, with respect and thankfulness. Her mother, Monica couldn't possibly ask for anything better in reality for a gift in her life, it was a gift send from the gods to her, what a blessing! Annie silently sat down her seat as Monica started the engine with a sharp click of her car key being turned. She secretly studied the movement of the cars and how Monica had drove, hoping it would be useful in her teenaged life when she learned how to drive and receives her license. Monica had never noticed her daughter noticing the every details before, and has not desired to know anything of Annie that has remained a secret to her in the years.
"Why, Annie, thank you too, that's sweet!" She finally replied, shifting in her seat with a gigantic smile tugging at the corner of her lips. Annie looked in the rear mirror of the car, and studied her smile as well as she studied the car, how interesting, she had thought, what has possibly caused humans to smile this often. She knew that herself cannot resist a good smile, but she had thought it to be very interesting to study, regardlessly, she turned away at dismay. A raccoon carcass, things that she had thought be dreadful and intimidating. Monica did her best to keep the smile as the landscape zipped by gradually.
"Have fun in the gymnastic workshop!" She winked mysteriously at her, which Annie caught in the rear mirror, Monica didn't seemed to mind, but she was startled for the sudden attention. Annie looked at the window, a few houses zipped by in a minute or two, they were all painted differently, and decorated with different nostalgic patterns. Monica smiled once again as the school of Annie came in her view, it was a old and creaky building. With fading blue paint for the first floor, which had a fading rainbow for the kindergarteners, grade ones and some grade twos. The second floor was light red, with an elegant heart that was splashed pink and had purple outlines for the rest of the grade twos, grade three and grade fours. Then, the third floor with barely seeable yellow paint lightly painted on and a large book circling a window, that was Annie's floor, for the grade 5 and grade 6. Finally, the final floor, with onyx splashed on and an apple above a closed notebook for the eight graders and also the sevens. But each floor included some of the other rooms too.
"Well, Annie, bye," Monica farewelled with a sincere voice, Annie nodded and advanced toward the steel school main gates, then, Monica added to her sentence, "I'm off to the restaurant! Take care!" She gave a quick wave and hurried back in her car, stumbled into her seat and sped off. Annie sighed and shrugged, another boring school day, which can be turned into torture by some teachers, like Mr. Campbell, who teaches gym, or Mrs. Aetos, who teaches science. She hurried in the door to avoid suspicious glances and instantly bumped into Eselda and Josephine, who remarked at her with apology.
