Kamigami no Asobi: The Mythical Student

~Ch 2~ Kusanagi Yui's POV part 2

Rachel's POV:

Light glowed around me as orbs flew down to my feet and made there way up, changing my clothes and hair style. I suppose that long dresses aren't really the 'style' at this time period, not that it really mattered to me. (pic above) I then heard something neighing. I looked down, it was a Pegasus.

'Ara? Those are pretty rare...hm.....whats this...' A human girl with purple hair seemed frightened by the Pegasus, 'A human? Why would a human be here?' I wondered when I sensed it, just barely sensed it. It wasn't something about the girl, it was something on her. I focused my eyes and saw a sword necklace. The necklace seemed dull to the human eye, but in a immortal's eye you could see it faintly glowing. It had a type of power. Her power. And there would be only one way that her power would be in the sword, she made it. She thought to herself, running through her memories, she could not remember making that sword, but there was a small blurry memory.

Still thinking thoughtfully.....

Realization hit. She didn't really care that much. 'Problem solved' she thought as she looked on, the human seemed to be scared and ran, I made no move to follow her, even if my instinct begged me too. But my conscious tells me that she is just a human, a mortal, in other words, not important. I sighed as a jumped down, and had a staring contest with the Pegasus. 

I smiled slightly as I lifted up my hand, the Pegasus bent low as I patted him, saying gently, "Your a pretty rare animal you know that? I wonder who brought you here..." As far as I know, its extremely hard to find a wild Pegasus these day. Then I stepped back, closed my eyes and in my hand, a golden light appeared as tiny golden butterflies surrounded my glow, (like rukh from Magi) then a golden apple appeared in my hand, as I let the Pegasus gobble it up. I had plenty of those gold apples, after all, Hera, Zeus's wife gave me a small golden apple tree on my birthday many years ago. 

Then I sensed a presence coming near, I sighed. How troublesome. I stepped back from the Pegasus and bowed, then disappeared along with the golden butterflies.

~Still Rachel's POV~

'This is starting to get annoying.' I thought as I hid behind a column as I saw what I presume is another God. He had long wine purple hair quite similar to mine, but he smelled a very strong smell of wine. I wrinkled my nose, you could say that I'm not a big fan of wine. When the wine-smelling God was out of sight, I slipped out and continued my boring journey down the halls. From my predictions, I'm guessing that the 8 other Gods and that one human, were forcefully brought here to this dimension which probably Zeus created. Its a shame that he's immortal, since I can't make him suffer I thought with a blank expression on my face.  

I stopped walking as I stared out of an open window. However much I didn't want to admit it, this place was truly beautiful. It reminded me much of my previous home, Atlantis, before it sank underneath the waves that is. Then something caught my attention, that human girl from earlier was speaking to a God with long blond hair and he seemed to shine radiantly. He reminded me of light, like he attracts beings, in any case, he reminds me of the other Gods. I rested my chin on my hand as I stared at the boring entertainment before me. 

Then something kind of disturbing happened, the God fell on the human, pinning her down on the bed of flowers. I lifted my eyebrows, 'If they are going to do those 'things' they should do it in private.' I thought nonchalantly, I looked away, I didn't want my eyes to see this kind of stuff.

~Yui's POV~

How I ended up here I do not know. I was currently standing in front of a large golden wood door. Inside a voice sounded. "Enter, Kusanagi Yui."

Recognizing the voice I entered. A yellow-bearded man in weird greek clothing holding as staff was sitting on a throne at the back of the room. He was smiling (quite smugly in my opinion) "Thank you for coming, Kusanagi Yui. I've been waiting for you." He had a commanding voice, I warily walked forward. "Did you bring me here?" I asked, "Yes." He replied.

"Who are you?" I asked as I finally stopped in front of him. He stood up and smirked, "I am Zeus." I looked at him with confusion, "Zeus....From the Greek mythology?" "Indeed. Even the most ignorant humans have heard my name." He answered, 'Is he saying I'm ignorant?' Yui thought, she kind of didn't believe what he was saying. Somehow reading my thoughts, he smirked, and hit his staff on the ground. Golden light appeared and when the light was gone, he was what looked like a 12-year old version of Zeus. However the fact, he still had a very arrogant look on his face.

"Changing my form is a simple matter. Well?" he said in a intimidating voice, as he pointed his staff at me, then small lightning bolts appeared at the end of his staff, "Shall I call down thunder next?" Like any normal human would, I immediately declined. "You really are a god, aren't you?" She has always been close to gods (because she lives in a temple) but truthfully she really didn't know if they existed. 

"Kusanagi Yui." The mini-zeus spoke again in his really intimidating voice, "I summoned you here, to play a part of my plan." "Plan?" Zeus looked at me like he was far much greater then me (which he is.) "Since ancient times, gods have been beings that mush both love humanity and be worshiped by them. However, the connection between the heavens, ruled by gods, and the human realm has grown lamentably weak. At this rate, a terrible future is inevitable." Sadly, the less intimidating child-Zeus turned back into the more intimidating grown-up Zeus. He turned and gave Yui a smirk despite his kind of grave words. "That is why I have brought together the gods who struggle the most with their connection to humanity, to educate them." 

"Educate?" I said, still not believing this was happening. "Yes, educate them. You have already met five of them. Behold!" Zeus raised his staff as small video-like pictures appeared, "The Norse gods Balder and Loki. The Japanese gods Tsukuyomi and Susanoo. The Greek god Hades."

"What are humans? What is love? By making them understand these things, a terrible future can be avoided. That is why I created this school." The pictures vanished, "Yes, this academy of the gods." He then pointed his scary looking staff at me, "Kusanagi Yui! You will learn alongside them, and teach them about humanity." I looked up in shock, " Eh? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh!!!?? You can't be serious! You practically kidnapped me, and now this?" He smirked again, "You do not decide,  I do." I gave him a slightly annoyed look, " That's tyrannical! I can't do that!" "I shall not release you from this world until you fulfilled my plan" Zeus said with a you-have-no-choice look.

We had a long stare-off, when I finally excused myself curtly, unable to hold my glare.

Zeus's POV:

'Unfortunately no one can deny me in my dimension.' I thought as the human named Kusanagi Yui left quite amusingly.

Thoth, the Egyptian God of knowledge came out from behind a pillar and gave me a bored look. "That was the girl? You still think you can use her?" I snorted, "Do not worry. She has been chosen by the Sword made by the Goddess of the Lost kingdom Atlantis under my guidance as well. It won't fail."

Rachel's POV:

'Ara, its that human girl' I thought as I slowly opened my eyes from where I was sitting, in a tree. "The girl suddenly collapsed and was shaking. "That was terrifying!" 'Oh, so I'm guessing she met Zeus? What did he do, threaten to zap you with a thunderbolt?' Rachel thought, not knowing that she was actually kind of correct. 

Then I froze as I sensed another strong presence. Another God with short bright blond hair and green eyes appeared out of no where asked the girl with a smile if she was alright. "Are you the human representative I've heard of? Or not? Are you not?" 'Human representative?' I thought as I watched, then another disturbing sight hit. The god suddenly cupped the humans cheek and said, "What a surprise, meeting a human girl here. A real surprise." He said in his cheery voice as he gently put some hair behind the girl's ear."
