Chapter 3 Bad news

So it's the day after my party and I go to school and jack said he had to talk to me about something. I am freaking out normally I wouldn't be freaking out but I have a bad feeling this time he has a sad look in his face, I wonder what it could be. He told me to meet him after school in the garden beside the school. that's what I did. he saw me and right away gave me a hug, but this hug was different his head went in my shoulder instead of mine going into his and then my shirt started to get wet and he started shaking. ( omg he's crying, he never cried this way before something had to of happened that was really bad).
I started to say something when he he started mumbling.
"what happened babe??"
"My grandma died this morning"
"Witch one, moms side or dads?"
"My...my..mom.......side"
I could hear the hurt in his voice and it made me feel his pain I hate when he's sad it makes me sad too, by the way the grandma on his moms side is like his best friend he's really close to her while the grandma on his dad's side is not as close to him, don't get me wrong he would still be sad but there just wouldn't be a connection that would break witch makes it hurt worse and it doesn't help that his grandma on his moms side took care if him every other weekend basicly like a parent to him.
" I am so sorry babe, that really sucks"
"....."
Tears are just running down our faces when my best friends makayla and zach arrive we tell them.... we'll I tell them what happens and they feel bad too, me and my friends end up takeing jake to his favorite restront. he starts to feel better (it helps he's been holding my hand, hugging, kissing and telling me he loves me all day, he did have one brake down after we made him feel better but it wasn't really a break down more of a self conscious or a fear he asked after we left the restront and we were in the car, if I'm going to leave him to, all I can think is I will let him get away with it for a little bit ( till he feels better ) besides, he needs it.
"No babe I love u I will never leave u"
That made him feel better, a lot better.
We made our way back to my house and we turned on netflix everyone agreed on watching the walking dead.
We feel asleep in my bed with makayla next to me on my right and zach is next to her while on my left is jack is cuddling with me.
We wake up and agree that we should go get breakfast at Doug's.
During breakfast we started making plans today
"We'll it's Saturday and the mall is open for now"
"Ugggg no thank u"
"I agree with zach"
"Fine"
I'm to busy laughing to see makayla gleaming at us.
"Scarlet that's not funny u know I always wanna go to the mall cuz I love hot topic and Spencer's"
"Fine makayla I'm sorry I shouldn't of laughed"
"It's cool"
"how about we go to the penny arcade"
"Yeah let's do that"
"What do u guys say"
"I agree with jack it's bet err then the mall"
"Ok that's cool by me, what ever"
Jack offers to drive so we let him and we go to the penny arcade.
