Naris spotted the tops of the yurts over the ridge as he got closer and closer to the Camp. As he came over the hill he spotted Sul Matuul standing beside the hearth in the centre of the camp, with two other ashlanders that Naris didn't recognize.

One of them spotted Naris as he reached the base of the hill and informed the ashkhan who turned to face him. Naris came to a stop before the clan leader and bowed slightly before holding up the bow. "I have retrieved your father's bow ashkhan."

"So you have," Sul Matuul said with a small smile. "You have completed the initiation rite. I name you Naris, Clanfriend of the Ashlanders. Keep my father's bow, and bear it with honour. You are a friend of our tribe. And now I will fulfil my other promise," he waved one of his companions forward. She was a female dunmer, with dark hair pulled into a braid and bright red eyes filled with wisdom. "This is Nibani Maesa, our wise woman, go with her and she shall test you against the prophecies."

Nibani Maesa led Naris to her yurt. It was almost as large as the ashkhans but the inside was much different. There was a small table stationed to the back of the yurt, with different herbs and flowers strewn across it. Different herbs were hung along the sides of the yurt, drying out in the air. "Now Clanfriend, you ask about the Nerevarine prophecies, there are many Nerevarine prophecies, and they suggest many things. Aspect and uncertain parents. The moon-and-star. Seven curses. The prophecy of the Stranger. The prophecy of the Seven Visions."

Naris nodded. "I am ready to hear it all, and hear your judgement Wise Woman," he bowed his head.

Nibani smiled. "I am the wise woman. Ask your questions. And I will answer."

Naris thought over what to ask first, start from the first she named he decided. "Aspect and uncertain parents?"

"If what you say is true, you are indeed born on a certain day of uncertain parents. This is part of the prophecy. But many have the same birthday, and many are not sure of their parents. It is interesting. But it does not make you the Nerevarine," Nibani Maesa pursed her lips.

That was true. Naris decided to move on. "The moon-and-star, I have heard others reference it?"

"Legend says Indoril Nerevar's family standard bore the moon and star, and Nerevar's armour and weapons bore this sign. Some say he bore a moon-and-star birthmark. Some say he has a magic ring marked with a moon-and-star. Others say he was born under a moon-and-star. In any case, I think the moon-and-star is the mark of the Nerevarine. Do you have this mark?" Nibani raised an eyebrow.

"I don't think so," Naris said slowly, trying to think about any mark on him that could be a moon-and-star.

"Hmmm," the wise woman hummed. "You will wish to know of the Seven Curses next?" Naris nodded. "Well I do not know it. and I know no one who does. It may be lost. Such things happen. A wise woman dies, or forgets, or a clan is wiped out. Perhaps someone knows, but is keeping it secret. I do, however, know of the Stranger." She cleared her throat.
