Chapter 4 (The misunderstanding)

Pooh's pov

"So what do you wanna do first" I asked him

"I don't know... you decide"

"Hmm...how about we get something to eat first...are you hungry?"

He nodded

"Ok then let's grab something to eat first" I said giving him a smile

We walked over to one of the food stalls, gave our orders and sat down on one of the tables waiting for our orders

"So do you usually come to fairs like this?" This time he was the one to start the conversation, guess I'm making progress

"Mmh... I often go to different places with friends... like on holidays, weekends and semester break"

"What about your family? when do you visit them?"

"Well...my mom passed away passed away while giving birth to me and my dad.... he's kind of a workaholic and is often busy with his business meetings and trips so we don't meet often.... but he often calls to check up on me"

"I'm sorry about your mom"

"Its fine" I said giving him a small smile

"So your dad is a businessman?"

"Yes,he worked really hard to be successful"

"I don't usually ask my dates about their family but who's your father?...he seems interesting...maybe I know him since I'm in the business line aswell"

Hold on shouldn't it be common to ask your date about their family and stuff but that's not the concern right now, how am I supposed to tell him who my father is, so the thing is my father is a really successful businessman and.... Mafia and everyone who knows him, knows about his Mafia identity aswell. He kind of rules the underworld. I don't want to be a part of his illegal businesses so I changed my identity in my High school years and went to a small high school instead of a fancy one and never talk about my family much.

I guess I just got too carried away in the conversation. Now I needed to think of something to say, I didn't wanna scare him away by exposing my Mafia background. I'm really starting to like him I guess

"Uhh...my father-"

"Here's your order" oh thank God right on time the server bought our food I can easily change the topic now

"Thank you" I replied to the server as she left

"So what kind of food do you like?" I asked trying to change the subject

"I can eat everything actually as long as its delicious" he said with a smile

I successfully avoided talking about my father. We finished our food in silence but it wasn't awkward at all and he looked pretty comfortable aswell. He looked so cute while eating.

We finished our meal and as he was about to pay for his meal I cut him to it and paid for both of us. He raised an eyebrow at me

"I should be the one paying for the date since it was my friend who set us up" I explained

"I guess" he said and shrugged

"So do you wanna play some games?" I asked after I was done paying

"Of course"he replied

We spent the rest of our date playing games and eating snacks. We went to one of those selfie booths with props and stuff,he put made me wear a fake moustache and glassess with a fake nose attached to it, he laughed so hard that he had literal tears coming out his eyes while I swooned over how beautiful his laugh was. And of course a Ferris wheel ride is mandatory. As our date came to an end I offered to drop him to his place like a gentleman since it was already late and I might have a better chance for a second date and he agreed to let me

We reached his apartment building, I walked him over to his apartment

"I had a really good time" I said giving him a smile as he stood in the doorway of his apartment

"Me too" he replied with a smile

"Then...ba-bye" I said giving him a big smile that made him laugh aswell

I turned around and after taking a few steps I realised I didn't even ask for his number just as this realisation crossed my mind I heard him calling my name maybe he will ask for my number!

"Pooh"

I turned towards him as he gestured me to come back I walked over to his door , maybe he would ask me out on a second date!

"Is there anything else?" I asked as I stood in front of him trying to control my excitement

"Stop the act already"

he said and before I could register his words he pulled me in his apartment closing the door behind me,as he pushed me against the door and started kissing me. I was startled at first but then I gently broke the kiss

"Isn't this too fast for a first date" I asked confused

"What do you mean?"

"I mean shouldn't we wait till we go on a few more dates or become an official couple"

"Huh... what the hell isn't this like a one time thing"

"Did you not enjoy the date? Did you not like my company?"

"I did enjoy the date but wasn't the whole thing an act to impress me and get me to sleep with you"

"No!!....hold on I think there is a misunderstanding over here" I said confused by the whole thing

"So you weren't pretending at all when you were trying to make me laugh and paid for the date saying your friend was the one who set up the date so you should be the one paying, that was genuinely just your personality"

"Yes... I thought this was a serious date not some one night stand" I said disappointed

"And I thought it was a one night stand"

"So I guess I should leave"
