"I'm sure it's not that bad-
"Okay Greenie, like it or not, that's what it was." Gally interrupted. "I know those builders, worked with them since each one came up." He continued sternly. "I know them, alright?" Gally says, and I nod. "Now, did anything else happen?"
"Um, not really." I shrug lightly. The blanket almost slips off with the small movement and I decided to take it off altogether.
"That's not an answer." Gally sighs.
"I don't know, it was just a tense atmosphere." I try to explain. "Everything they said or did intimidated me."
"Well, what happened after they said that?" Gally prompts. "Is that when Jeff went in? Cause I know for a fact that those three were away from their work for longer than just one short conversation."
"Well, I still had to patch up Henry's arm." I explain.
"Henry said Jeff did that." Gally furrowed his eyebrows. "Was it actually you?"
"No, it was Jeff." I quickly reply. "He interrupted just at the right time."
"What does that mean?" Gally presses. "What did he interrupt?"
"Do I really need to say anything more?" I groan, wanting this to finally be over with. "Haven't I said enough?"
"Mira, I need to know what kind of shit my builders do." Gally insists. "If it's something I can help correct, I need to know."
I sighed at his response. But finally, he broke me down. I started from the beginning, telling him everything that happened yesterday and then, everything that happened the first day. I just kept talking and talking. It was all coming out, whether I wanted it or not. I couldn't stop myself. There was a part of me that felt relieved once I had finished.
"Alright...." Gally replied once he was sure I was finished talking. "I know you don't want to go to Nick about this, so I won't tell him anything." He adds and I let out a breath of relief. "I'll do what I can to set them straight, but I still strongly suggest you tell Nick. But again, your choice Greenie."
"Thank you, Gally." I smile brightly. Then without thinking, I hug him. I realise he seems surprised at first, so I almost immediately back away. But then he wraps his arms around me before I can. Albeit, awkwardly.
"Alright." Gally coughs, pulling away. "Any longer and I'll be Minho's substitute." He laughs. "I rather leave that to him."
"I doubt he'd care much, really." I shrug.
"Oh, don't tell me yous are fighting." Gally rolls his eyes. "You know I don't think I really care-
"Too late." I cut in. "You got me to talk, now I'm talking." I insist. Gally doesn't protest, which I take as a sign to continue. "He's upset. See, I didn't tell him what happened."
"Wait, you didn't tell him?" Gally interrupts, sounding seriously surprised."You talk his ear off practically all the time, it's rare when you aren't with him and yet you told me before you told him?"
"Well you sorta forced it out of me." I mumble. "I didn't even plan on spilling my heart out to anyone, you just wore me down."
"I doubt Minho is gonna see it that way." Gally insists. "Plus, I thought you and that Shank were like...." He trails off. "Well, good luck with that." He shakes his head. My eyebrows furrow in confusion and then Gally nods towards the maze.
