15 minutes before the last chapter ended

Genetics Lab

Patrick stared at the dinosaur he once hated. He saw Kara's baby's cowering in fear behind their mother. Kara stood protectively in front of her children. She growled and stared Patrick down. Patrick dropped his bow shocking Kara.

"My whole life I thought you were nothing but a killer. A dinosaur with a thirst for blood. Vengeance. Just like I was on the mainland." Patrick said sticking his hand out towards Kara. "But now, we've both changed. Now we have families."

Kara let out a softer growl, as if she understood.

"What to my mom and brother wasn't your fault. You were just juiced with Mirikuru. But it wore off now according to my dad. For years I wanted you dead, but the more time I've spent on the island, the more I real how alike we are. We're both just trying to survive and protect the ones we care about." Patrick explained trying to appeal to the dinosaur.

Kara let out another growl, almost as if she felt bad for the archer.

"I need your help, Kara." Patrick said.

The indominus enclosure

Patrick emerged from the bushes, hood up. He held his bow in he right hand.

"Wow. Chase said you had balls but he didn't say you were stupid." Church taunted as Talia's men drew their swords. "You're out numbered. Seven to one." 

"As much as I like those odds, who said I came alone." Patrick growled. He whistled Once. After he whistled a Dino in the distance let out a familiar roar causing fear among the troops.

Kara sprinted from the side and picked up one of Talia's men by the foot. She slammed the man to the ground ripping off his leg. He screamed in pain as Kara swallowed the man whole.

Patrick fired an arrow in Church leg. Church screamed in pain. Patrick stared at the remaining soldiers.

"GO! Tell them I coming" Patrick growled causing the men to drop their swords and run towards their base.

Kara roared in victory as Patrick approached church.

"Where are the others?" Patrick growled. Church just glared at the kid in pain. Patrick grabbed another arrow from his quiver and stabbed it in churches other leg.

"WHERE ARE THEY?!" Patrick demanded as Church groaned in pain.

"They split them up!" Church answered. "Diaz has The nerd and the farmer, Chase has your girlfriend, Kovar's guarding Chase!" 

"WHERE'S DIAZ!?" Patrick demanded. 

Brooklyn looked at the boy who she thought of as her brother with pure fear. That thing in that hood, was not Patrick.

"A FEW MILES SOUTH. PLEASE JUST STOP!" Church screamed. Patrick drew a knife and put it at Church's neck.

"Patrick! Don't!" Brooklyn yelled. Patrick looked up at Brooklyn. His eyes went wide as the realization of what he just did sank in. He punched Church unconscious then turned to Kara.

"He's yours." Patrick said looking up at Kara. Kara snarled and ate Church whole while Patrick freed Kenji Ben and Brooklyn.

"You can't kill Chase." Brooklyn said grabbing both of Patrick's shoulders. Patrick raised an eyebrow. "Slade made Yaz promise that we'd leave the island without blood on our hands."
