Sliding on his headphones so Alex could have some background noise, he pressed the round button to start the music. His body shook and a screech could be heard. A feeling similar to someone penetrating him with a drill filled his chest. The pain was absent.
Slowly but surely Alex walked downstairs to the living room with heavy steps making loud thumping sounds that echoed against his empty walls. He wasn't alone. His lovely husband had come over. Ah, how Alex loved uninvited quests. It has seemingly almost become a pattern for people to do that nowadays.
"What the heck are you doing here?" Alex almost hopping over to Bush, giving the other male a mini heart attack.
"Don't you remember? I've been here since yesterday", Bushboy answered after collecting his thoughts amidst the confusion Alex's sudden reaction had caused him.
Right then and there Alex's own thoughts started running. The last thing he remembered was kidnapping the murderer. Mayhaps his memories were just messing with him once again since they do that sometimes. It's normal to not remember whole days, right? A refreshment of memories can't hurt anyone though, can it?
"Do you mind refreshing me on yesterday? My apologies, I don't quite recall what had happened", Alex asked Bush as nicely as his heart let him.
Bush knocked on the door of Alex's house for his annual check in. He had to be sure his husband was doing well after all, but there was no answer. Fortunately, the door wasn't locked. Tiny scrambling noises could be heard from Alex's basement. Bush went to investigate.
In the hurry of panic, Alex hadn't locked nor closed the basement door that led the horrid smell from inside escape into the outside world. What could he have been doing down there? Bush most likely hadn't ever even entered Alex's basement so the layout would be completely new to him.
Hysteric giggles and coughs for air escaped what seemed to be Alex's lungs. Down kneeled at the basement floor sat Alex with two bloodied bodies before him. He was carefully cutting off pieces from the tinier fish-like being and installed them onto the blue haired human boy. Alex's hands and light colored clothes were completely drenched in the liquids emitting from the bodies or what could possibly even be called corpses.
The horrifying sight didn't stop Bush from investigating further. That was until his soft steps downstairs to the basement made a creak on the old wooden stairs. Immediately catching Alex's attention, the mood changed. Disgust and anger filling Alex's face as he stared Bush to death with his now almost inhumanly widened eyes.
The rest had apparently been too useless to be told. Haha, how funny that Alex didn't remember any of that. He must have dementia or something. What a loser. How can you be trusted with anything if you don't remember something as simple as this?
Alex picked up a packet of tomatoes from the fridge to snack on while they discussed everything. They were cold, just how Alex liked them but perhaps a bit too old. Some had wrinkles and were disgustingly soft. Although the sickening thought, he ate them, thinking that he was just overthinking his food as usual.
