ONORA: Part One||: Resilient [ON HOLD]

5:30AM--

Juniper's ears were instantly filled with the sound of her alarm going off as she took her phone and checked the time and made a soft grunt as she sat up in bed, looking at her girlfriend who was sleeping next to her which made the brunnete smile. She got out of bed and walked to the kitchen opening the tall curtains of her apartment.

Timeskip- 8AM

The curly haired brunette had so many,no TOO many thoughts on her mind as she got off and parked her motorcycle at the Mid-Wilshire Patrol Division. She looked up the building with a heavy sigh

I've got this don't worry yourself Juniper you got good marks in the academy everything should be fin-

"Boo!" a voice came from behind her spooking the girl to let out a gasp as she turned around to meet eyes with her cousin, Jackson West.
Juna was instantly upset at his antics that her response was to hit his shoulder playfully but hard

"I told you doing that isn't funny Jackson! You're going to scare me to death one day!!" she complained as she kept hitting his arm  as the boy just laughed at his cousin

"Nahhh it's too funny Jun." he'd say as the pair walked side by side into the station then into the locker rooms, separating from each other.
Now as Juniper had walked to her locker while humming softly and putting her helmet in her locker along with her bag as she went to change into uniform.
Juna started making her way to roll call to only get a glance at her cousin talking to someone.. Who oddly looked very familiar to her but she just shook the feeling off and made her way to roll call

As Juna was the first one to make it to roll call she sat down and was alone with her thoughts for a while before her train of thoughts were interrupted as Sergeant Wade Grey walks into the room and she has fully snapped back to reality as she looked over at Jackson making sure her little cousin looks alright in her rule book before looking back at Grey

"Alright, Alright. Settle down. Settle down.. So okay we've got some new blood this morning and some pushing the expiration date" he added as he looked at Nolan which got a couple laughs out of people and Juniper was one of them but just looked the other way as she grinned but regained her composter

"Get up" Grey started as the four stood up, Juna and Jackson being the first followed by Chen and Nolan
"After six months together at the academy you've earned the right to be here. But you'll have to prove yourself to stay." he continued as it was silent in the room apart from people shifting in their chairs and the little creaks heard

"The way we do things matter-.." and then Juniper had just felt every word Sergeant Grey say turn into a whisper and a blur as the words went into her ear and back out as her thoughts drifted away again and the four kept standing as Grey spoke to them

"Now sit down" he instructed as the four sat back down, Juna coming back to reality once again as she mentally scolded herself for not paying attention and letting her thoughts get the best of her
"It's time to play the training officer matching game" Grey spoke

Juniper then glanced at Lucy who looked back at her and they shared a look before smiling at each other and going back to paying attention, she just crossed her arms on the desk but sat up straight as she had a soft but not really noticeable smile on her face

"Our contestants are.." He started saying
"Lucy Chen, a hotshot who made her first arrest before clocking in for  work."
"Legacy Jackson West who broke all his dad's records at the academy" Grey had said which made Juniper smile at his achievements before it quickly fading into a neutral look
"Juniper Riley, one of the best proven fighters in the academy and John Nolan who was born before the disco died" He finished off making people in the room laugh and Nolan frowned at that
