Sleepless Love

Chapter 15

[Y/N] sat at her desk her eyes glanced over at the clock, the clock ticked further and further along, she stared at it wishing it would go even faster. She wanted to go home so bad, soothe her aching feet and get some food. [Y/N] saw she had close to ten minutes left, ten minutes felt like an eternity. She decided to look at her phone, maybe Uraraka had finally messaged her.

[Y/N] pulled out her phone and checked the lockscreen for any new messages. None. [Y/N] allowed a frown to take on her face, nothing from Uraraka. [Y/N] was worried. Shinso had gone missing ghosting her, she hadn't heard anything from Midoriya and Uraraka was also ghosting her. She was worried, scared and a little lonely. She had no one else to turn to and she was scared of the implications that everyone she was close to had disappeared.

"Hey [Y/N], time to go home." A familiar voice called to the woman from behind her, [Y/N] turned around and saw stood there was her coworker, Yasuo. [Y/N] gave a small, tired smile at the man, he gave a small nod in return and [Y/N] stood up to leave.

"Thanks, Yasuo. Have a good shift.'' [Y/N] went into the back office to clock out and go home. Her feet ached as she clocked out, finally ready to go home. She yawned as she grabbed her things to head home. She couldn't wait to go home and sleep. [Y/N] nodded to Yasuo as she left from the hotel, leaving the building through the sliding glass doors.

The cool morning breeze hit her as the sun just kissed the night sky, she felt her body droop as she walked down the path. The lampposts lit her way as she walked, allowing her to see the empty path ahead. She loved night walks, but since her brush with those small-time villains she's been a little wary.

As she walked she knew nothing could stop her from heading to bed as soon as she arrived home. Until a hand shot out from an alleyway just in front of her, the hand grabbed a hold of her arm and dragged her into the dark alleyway. A gasp escaped her lips as she was pushed into the wall.

"Hello there," a gravelly voice that shook her to her core made her head look up. Standing above her was a man with black hair and purple skin attached to his normal pale skin with staples. She knew who it was, it was Dabi. A big villain who had killed many people and was known to be ruthless and brutal. Her jaw went slack in terror. "Cat got your tongue darling?" Dabi's words curled out of his mouth.

"Please let me go," [Y/N]'s pleas dripped from her mouth, her whole body was shaking as she was trapped. Dabi had a hand placed on the wall next to her head, the other hand was at his side. Dabi allowed a small smirk to overtake his face as the woman underneath him quivered in fear. "Please." [Y/N] pleaded.

"Oh, come on sweetheart let's play a little game," Dabi snarled lifting his hand and allowing his quirk to envelope his hand. [Y/N]'s eyes went wide with fear, she almost pissed herself, she was fucking terrified. Dabi slowly inched his fiery hand towards her face, the heat warming her face and the blue glow reflecting in her eyes.

"Please let me go, please I won't tell anyone." Tears sprung from [Y/N]'s eyes, but as the fire got closer and closer they simply evaporated as soon as they left her eyes. She was way too scared to scream, thinking he would burn her face off quicker, the woman turned her face away closing her eyes tightly bracing herself for the pain. As she turned her head an awful smell permeated the air as it caught her hair.

[Y/N] braced herself for the pain that was inevitably coming closer towards her, but then the heat disappeared. A thud made her jump and finally open her eyes. [Y/N] could see ice decorating the alley she was in. She glanced at where the sound came from and saw Dabi hightailing it out of the alley, ice spread across the ground, and she followed the trail to see where it came from.

Todoroki stood there, a breath of cold air left his mouth, he had a glare on his face but as soon as Dabi had disappeared his face faded into relief. Todoroki then turned to the woman still shaking against the wall, he quickly made his way towards her before taking her shoulders into his hands.

"[L/N] are you alright?" Todoroki's voice was shaky as he looked over her face, trying to see if there were any injuries. Thankfully she was not. [Y/N] stared at him for a moment before breaking down, tears exploded from her eyes cooling her face down, sobs wracked her body, and she wrapped her arms around Todoroki and buried herself into his chest.

Todoroki was shocked, happy, delighted, elated even but still shocked that his plan had worked so easily and quickly. He patted her back and stroked her hair gently as she sobbed into his chest even harder. Once her sobs had turned into whimpers the woman looked up into Todoroki's eyes, god he wanted to kiss her so bad right then.

"Want me to walk you home?" Todoroki asked gently, the woman still terrified nodded her head. Todoroki unwrapped them both and began guiding her home, she didn't give him any directions, but she was too in shock to care right then. Todoroki was on cloud nine, he had his arm wrapped around the woman's back and she had sobbed into his chest, on her own accord.

Once they arrived at [Y/N]'s home the woman unlocked the door and as much as Todoroki wished to come in he didn't. The man stood at the door and [Y/N] stood within the threshold of her home, before she shut the door she turned to the man. "Thank you so much Todoroki, for saving me twice now. You're so nice to me," [Y/N] spoke softly. So softly Todoroki almost didn't catch it.

"Of course [L/N], you're a kind soul and I'm sorry you've been put in these situations twice now." Todoroki spoke, [Y/N] nodded her head sombrely. "Do you want me to walk you to and from work from now on? Just until you feel safer of course." Todoroki clarified quickly. [Y/N] looked up at him, tears still in her eyes, Todoroki thought she looked gorgeous, but he felt twinges in his heart due to her sadness. The woman nodded her head softly, Todoroki smiled sadly at the woman and then bid her goodbye. She waved to him as he went down the road.

Todoroki looped back to the alleyway where Dabi agreed to meet him, "Did you have to hit me that hard dickhead?" Dabi's complaints went in one ear and out the other ear. Todoroki glared at him for a second, but he couldn't be angry. [Y/N] had hugged him, she wanted him around.

"I had to make it look believable," Todoroki brushed the man off, Dabi rolled his eyes but the two began walking back to Todoroki's home.
