Sleepless Love

Chapter 19

A few long and agonising days went past for [Y/N], but to Todoroki they were heaven. He did have to deal with a few things unfortunately, I mean he had to make sure Dabi knew his place and he had to make sure the police were off his back and onto Dabi's back. Todoroki had to place the ashes of Midoriya, Uraraka and Shinso into the alleyway that [Y/N] was assaulted by Dabi. Then he simply called it in as an anonymous tip and planted a few more things to get rid of suspicion.

This particular day [Y/N] had been awoken by Todoroki bringing her breakfast in bed, one of her favourite breakfasts as well. She was a little shocked by it, I mean she did thank the man and had to suppress the urge to recoil from him when he placed a small kiss onto her forehead. The woman choked down the food as Todoroki informed her of his day's plan.

"I've got work today my darling, but I won't be gone too long depending on the villains of the day. Then once I've finished with work I'll being you a few things home." Todoroki rambled on as [Y/N] finished her food. "There's a present waiting for you downstairs, if Dabi hasn't gotten to it yet." Todoroki finished placing another kiss on her forehead. [Y/N] nodded her head at the man.

[Y/N] finally finished her breakfast and had another realisation, she had been having a lot of these recently. "Todoroki," Said man shot her a little look making her correct herself, "Shouto," Todoroki smiled once she corrected herself, "The earrings I got, were they from you?" She asked hesitantly.

Todoroki smiled at the woman, "Yes darling that was me, you were upset about Shinso, and I wanted to make you feel better." Todoroki informed her. [Y/N] nodded as Todoroki picked up the tray the breakfast was on. She thought over everything that had occurred since meeting the man, but she had a sinking feeling that some things had occurred behind her back she didn't know. "I'm off to work now, have a good day darling." Todoroki, once again, kissed her forehead and then he left giving her a smile and wave.

[Y/N] sighed and leaned into the bed she had been sleeping in, she hadn't cried yet, but she didn't know if she could. She was still a little in shock, everything was happening too fast for her to fully comprehend it, but Todoroki had been nothing but kind to her since she 'moved in'. He had brought her chocolates, more jewellery and flowers that she had planted in the garden out back. Todoroki was a little hesitant to allow her outside, but she insisted telling him how he lived in such a secluded area and there were no neighbours to look into the garden and see her, and he finally agreed. The woman was also slowly getting used to Dabi being around, he never tried to harm her or even speak to her much, she was still wary of him though.

The woman soon decided to get ready for the day, she started with a shower and then getting dressed in some clothes Todoroki had gotten for her, before heading downstairs. Todoroki had taken her phone but told her about his library full of books she could pass the time with, and she had become engrossed with some of them, so she was eager to get back to it. Her feet carried her downstairs soon landing at the bottom and heading towards the living room, she had placed her book there yesterday.

When she arrived in the living room she saw her book positioned on the coffee table next to a note and a small box, Todoroki's present for her probably. Also sat within the room watching TV and lounging happily on the sofa was Dabi, the man she was a little afraid to be in the room with but decided to just deal with for the time being.

Dabi looked up, saw the woman and then turned back to the TV without acknowledging her. [Y/N] moved to the opposite sofa, closest to her book and present. The woman sat down, still feeling her legs quake with the man so close to her, and then grabbed the note. She opened it and began to read it:

Dear [Y/N], my love

I know that this is a big adjustment and I'm sorry I have to go to work so soon but I hope this present is enough to show you how much you mean to me.
