"C'mon Peter, jump"
Cole encouraged as him and Peter stood on the rocks cliff, looking down at the lake beneath them and seeing all of their friends swimming below them.

"Yeah Peter! It's really not that high!" Angelina yelled from a great height difference, after just jumping from the cliff into the cool water. She and keith swam with the other kids from their school, who go by the names Owen and Jules.

-a couple hours before-

"Ugh finally schools over!" Owen groaned as he slammed into the schools doors, opening them and running out.

"Imagine how relieved we are! You're only a freshman, that's nothing compared to 11th grade" Jules scoffed as she slightly bumped him with her elbow. Cole and Peter met Owen and Jules at the beginning of the 2nd semester, they didn't know how Jules and Owen knew each other if they were at completely different grade levels, but then they found out they were actually siblings.

"Well actually" Owen said while pushing up his glasses,

"I'm technically not a freshman anymore, I'm a sophomore because it's the end of the year!" Owen laughed in his nerdy voice.

"No you're not" Jules said while resting her elbow on Owen's head, who was significantly shorter than her,

"You're still just an itty bitty wittle baby" Jules cackled as she pinched one of his cheeks, he pushed her away and rolled his eyes.

"Anyways, we're still on about the plans for later right?" Keith changed the subject, he and Angelina walked behind Cole and Peter.

"Duh, we've been planning this for like weeks" Peter said with an excited smile. They've all been planning to go to the lake ever since Cole discovered it while on his bike.

He was strolling around the neighborhood until he came across a sign reading, "blue lake, 10 miles ahead"

So he bolted his bike up hill until he saw the beautiful, untouched, blue lake. He immediately biked his way over to Peter's house to tell him the good news, but he was met with Peter's mother standing in the door way. That was an awkward conversation.

But after he told Peter and his friends about the lake, they all decided to go swimming in it on the last day of school. Peter dared all of them that they wouldn't jump off the cliff into the lake, which they did, but when it came his turn and as he was standing above the water, he started to regret his decision.

He shook his hands to maybe try and get the stomach-dropping feeling out of his finger tips, his feet shifting teeter-totter.

"Peter," Cole said with a quiet tone, putting his hand gently on Peter's shoulder. Peter whipped his head around, breathing heavily.

"It's okay if you don't wanna jump off" Cole said reassuringly, trying to calm Peter down in case he has a breakdown from the amount of emotions he was experiencing.

"N-no no, I-i want to" Peter cringed at himself for stuttering, because he rarely stuttered now with Cole and everything, it was almost odd and embarrassing for him to stutter.

"I just can't—I can't, j-jump" Peter starting twitching and shaking from the panic inside his chest, he almost started to smile from the rush. God he wished he wasn't so gittery and emotional. He just wished he was normal.
