Cookie nodded. "U-Uh... Yeah..." She mumbled.

Eddi went over to melody and pulled her away from Cookie. "Leave the poor thing alone. She's clearly been through a lot. Look at her." Xe said quickly. Eddi gestured to the burns on Cookies arms and face. "She's lucky they aren't severe."

Melody sighed. "Whatever, but she won't be staying too much longer. We can't keep bringing people back." She said with an exasperated tone. She then turned to Cookie. "Okay hon, you'll be sleeping on the couch. It isn't the most comfortable, but it'll do." Melody said.

Cookie nodded and smiled gratefully. "Thanks for letting me stay." she said quietly.

Melody simply nodded. "You already know where the living room is, so I suggest you go to sleep. It's getting late." She said with a dismissive wave.

Cookie nodded and went into the living room. She walked over to the couch and laid on it.

In the middle of the night, Cookie got up. She felt as if she were being a burdon, so, she decided it would be best for her to leave.

She left the living room, entering the kitchen. She walked over to the front door. Cookie opene the door and exited the house. She had completely forgot that the house was in the candy clouds, and as soon as she stepped onto the pillowey(excuse my spelling) softness, she felt a stabbing pain in her leg.

Cookie let out a gasp, and immediately covered her mouth to muffle her heavy breathing. But it seems a certain someone heard the gasp. Eddi stepped next to Cookie suddenly. Xe placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" Xe asked.

Cookie was startled. "Ehm, I guess, yeah..." she mumbled. "I thought I'd go for a walk. Cause... I couldn't sleep." Cookie lied.

Eddi frowned. "It's storming today, it's going to feel like you're walking on knives." Xe said.

Cookie shook her head slightly. "Figured that out on my own, jackass." Cookie snapped. She then covered he mouth for a moment before speaking again. "Sorry." she mumbled.
