I haven't been sure why my family gave me to this awful man years ago. Although time is endless here, at least it seems that way, I can't help but wonder if these walls are all I will see in my lifetime. "Sari! SARI!" I was broken out of my thoughts by an angry yell that Overhaul made. "Yes sir?" I asked quietly, looking at his figure in the door. "I have a new job for you. Come with me, Now." He commanded and I stood up the chain clinking against the collar on my neck. He walked away and I followed making sure not to touch him. I knew better than to run so he doesn't seem bothered about holding my chain anymore. The collar however is a safety measure, if and when I happen to leave the facility, it serves as a tracker and a means of keeping me obedient.

Coming to a stop, I look around the unfamiliar scenery. He opened the door and immediately I noticed a small girl practically cowering in the corner. "This is Eri, my most valuable asset. You will be in charge of protecting her, this is your job. You will put her above anyone else in and out of this facility. Do you understand?" Overhaul explained as he pushed me inside. "Yes, sir." I mumbled and he slammed the door closed.

She shakily got up and came closer to me. "What's your name?" She asked reaching for my chain. "My name is Sari or 552 but you can call me whatever you like." I responded making no move to stop her. She tugged gently on it and told me to come sit down with her. I obliged and she led me to the corner she was sitting at. I sat down and rested my head against the wall, she curled up next to me and leaned against me to get some warmth. One of my wings wrapped around her and we dozed off.
