Cause You're My Zing

Chapter 2

"I'm so sorry..." As Daniel lifted his head, his word failed him as he looked at the most beautiful pair of blue eyes he had ever seen, they almost look like they glittered pink for a moment. He shakes his head, thinking he's imagined it, as he felt a zap like feeling in him as his heart started to beat faster. But before he could get a good look at the girl, the vampire appeared blocking his view with his cape.

"Mavis, honey, are you alright?"

Mavis let out a slight groan. "Yeah, I think so. That was weird..."

Daniel lifted the bottom of the cape to look at her.

"Are you okay?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah, uh, who are you?" She asked curiously.

But before Daniel could answered he was back behind the vampire cape.

"Oh him? That's no one." The vampire said.

Mavis rolled her eyes. "Seriously, dad?"

Daniel pulled the vampire's cape once again.

"Okay, first of all, that's rude and I'm Daniel Potter, it's a pleasure to meet you." Daniel smiled, Mavis blushed slightly at seeing his smile, before what she'd just said registered in his mind. "Wait, you are her father?"

"Why, yes I am, I'm Count Dracula." Dracula answered. "Anyway, sorry to cut this short honey but I need to showed Mr. Potter his room."

Seconds later, Dacrula dragged him away, he looked at Mavis and called out to her. "I guess I'll see you later!"

"Yeah, I guess so...." Mavis murmured as she watched Daniel leave, her face furrowed in curiosity and confusion at what had just happened. But her train of thought kept returning to Daniel, and those gorgeous pairs of brown eyes in which she could get lost into... But there was something about him she couldn't quite put her finger on... But what she's sure of is that she want to see him again, talk to him and get to know him. Now with a new found determination, she jumped into the air, backflipping, transforming into bat and then flying off.

Back with Dracula and Daniel, they stopped in front of a door with the number 106 on it.

"Here's your room." Dracula said, as he gave Daniel his key. "If there's anything you need, just ask one of the suits of armor and they'll help you. And if you'd like to join us for my daughter's birthday party, you're more than welcome."

"Thank you, sir!"

With that, Dracula leaves and Daniel enters his room. Shortly afterwards, Daniel began to unpack his luggage, and at the same time decided to change, as he was still wearing his hiking clothes. As he continued unpacking, his train of thought goes back to Mavis, there was something about her that made her different from all the girls he has crushed on; it was as if there was something drawing him to her, as if his soul was calling out to her. Then his train of thought goes to her beautiful short black hair and her bright blue eyes....

Daniel shakes his head as he checks the time, knowing he'll have to call home before it gets too late. He made his way to the balcony door and opened it, wanting a breath of fresh air to clear his head. Once outside, he took a deep breath and opened his eyes to see the view before him.

"Wow, this is such a beautiful view..."

"I know right." A feminine voice was heard on the left side of him.

Daniel was startled as he turn to the left and saw a giggling bat.

"Huh... Hi." Daniel said, nervously.

"Hi." The bat said, before being surrounded by a cloud of purple mist then turn into Mavis.

"Huh... Why are you here?" Daniel asked, Mavis was stunned at the question and start to look embarrassed.
