Y/N's Journal Pages: Hello, this is me, or rather, us. Let us just say that I am the helpful version of you, like a book to help you monitor the changes in your dream or, more accurately, what happens to you at midnight.
It began that night in Savannah, when the clock struck midnight. From then on, every night it happened. The sky turns red, and we enter a parallel reality that is identical to our own save for the fact that it is Lifeless and silent.
Indeed, the same shadow-like creatures that have haunted our hallucinations since we were seven years old. Since Ashlyn has sensitive hearing, she initially thought she was hearing a "Phantom Noise," or sounds that are not actually there, when she first encountered one, which is why we refer to them as Phantoms.
Much like when we have "Phantom visions," where we see lights, shapes, or people that are not actually there. That is the only thing I actually believe for once, and that is what the doctor says we experience, at least.
We document this as a kind of forewarning or at the very least to get us ready because we see a lot of things. Weakening our attention spans by using our sensitive eyes as a distraction, I believe Phantom World has an impact on us. The phantoms perceive our visions and cause us to experience hallucinations.
If you remember, we were running that night on the field trip after attempting to tie down the door. Our vision blurred, and we heard faint voices before turning around to see him, Dad. Only It was not him, and it turns the things we value most in life against us. to lure us in, and I am cautioning you to never, ever—under any circumstances—fall for the hallucinations.
Let us move on and discuss the Shadow dimension. We discovered a few things, one of which is that we are trapped there for seven hours and that, despite the passage of time in our world, the time remains frozen at twelve. Though not physically, our world has an influence on the Phantom realm.
For example, everything we move in our world moves in the Shadow realm as well. But, if we were to reverse the movements, the result would be different.
When you get hurt in the Phantom world, you can see your wounds very clearly; however, when you return to our world, your wounds vanish and you only feel them as though they never happened in the first place.
At last, we always return to the phantom world where we were before. Remember that one in particular.(And this next section of the story will explain at the beginning.)
On the bus
___________________________________________When your eyes open and the blurry vision goes away, you remember holding on to Logan for a moment before letting go when Ashlyn pushed Aiden aside and let out a quick "Duck!" before everyone cowered down behind the bus seats.
"Still here?" Tyler turned to face Ashlyn, who nodded quickly in response.
"What do we do?" Taylor asked nervously as you made brief eye contact with her before turning to give Ashlyn a quick glance.
With a thoughtful glance down, Ashlyn began to speak. "We'll have to try and kill it."
"How are we going to do that?" Tyler looked at Ashlyn, curious.
"Maybe Logan or Y/N could shoot it through the window?" When Aiden mentioned his suggestion, you glared at him for a little while before turning to Ashlyn. Logan, on the other hand, avoided making eye contact with Aiden.
"No, The gun is for emergencies only. Furthermore, Y/N hardly has any arrows, and her gear is at the front of the bus." Tyler was reminded about the gun by Ashlyn.
