While Ben was tending to Ashlyn's wound, you assisted the others in gathering as many supplies and weapons as possible in the room. After everything that had just occurred, everyone had finally calmed down.
As you were removing the chair's legs, there was a loud shattering sound, and when you looked over, Aiden was holding up a half-broken glass bottle.
"Aye Look, Another weapon!" He spoke as Tyler looked over at him.
"Hey watch it! You should've done that in the bathroom, Now there's glass everywhere!" Tyler yelled at Aiden for what he did.
"I'll get the broom." Logan said, getting up to his feet.
You stood up as well and walked over to Ashlyn and Ben. You knelt down beside Ben as he started to clean the wound and then you glanced down at the med kit.
"Hey, do you mind if I look through it real quick?" Ben looked up at you, paused, then nodded in response to your question.
You smiled and began searching the container, looking at the various items in the hopes of finding what you needed.
Ashlyn noticed you looking through the first aid kit, and she watched you do this.
"What are you looking for?" She spoke up catching your attention as you looked at her and then back down at the container.
"F-For Eye Drops." She arched a brow, and you pointed at your eyes in response. "Dry eyes." You have found the tiny bottle of eye drops at last, and she gave you a simple "oh" before turning away.
You left after as Aiden walked over and began to talk with Ashlyn. Applying some eye drops to your eyes you let out a sigh of relief as the burning sensation finally went away after a moment.
After a few minutes, Ashlyn got up and approached the twins.
"How many of these do we have?" Ashlyn asked after picking up one of the chair legs.
"Uh, 8 including the ones we're taking off right now." Taylor responded while Ashlyn crouched down next to them and thought for a moment.
"It's been quiet for a while now... D-Do you think the monsters are gone?" Anxiously, Taylor questioned.
"They're still outside the door. I can hear them but... Not in a normal way." Ashlyn responded, drawing all of your attention to her.
What do you mean?" Logan spoke nervously.
"Remember how I said I had sensitive ears?" Ashlyn said, referring to when they were at the Sorrel House.
"Ooh that's right! So you can hear them moving outside or something?" Aiden commented.
"Sort of. They make a certain... sound that I don't think you guys can hear." Ashlyn tried to explain.
"Can you get to the point?" Tyler spoke and sounded irritated.
"The thing is, because of how loud everything is to me, I hear... Phantom noises as a side effect. Sounds that aren't really there." Ashlyn began. "In the Sorrel Weed House I thought I was hearing a phantom noise and when I saw the monster... I believed it was just a type of hallucination." She paused for a brief moment.
"But then it grabbed me." Ashlyn spoke up before Tyler scoffed.
"A hallucination that grabbed you, Injured you and that all of us had seen? And you thought it wasn't real?" Tyler responded with a hint of irritation in his tone to Ashlyn's explanation.
