Burning Candle Cheolsoo (Joshua X Seungcheol)

Chapter 5

He groaned in frustration. He sat silently, avoiding eye contact, probably in an attempt to avoid an even bigger argument. "I'm going to bed." He said after a moment of silence, standing up and walking to the bed

"well good night

"It's not like I want to speak to you right now, goodnight to you as well" He said coldly, getting into bed and covering himself with the blanket

"Atleast you replied to my good night" Seungcheol said to himself

He seemed to grow more and more frustrated from the fact that Seungcheol was still talking. "Why must you talk to me when I clearly do not want to speak to you at this moment." He muttered, his voice was full of annoyance and irritation

He didn't respond, in fact, it seemed like he didn't even hear Seungcheol. He lied on his side of the bed, with the blanket covering him, he was now clearly ignoring him

"Girl I ain't talking to you" Seungcheol rolled his eyes

"Well it sure sounded like it to me!" He snapped back angrily, he seemed fed up with everything right now, his patience was on the verge of snapping

"Oh my fucking god just go to sleep"

"I'm trying to! But you keep talking to me, and it's keeping me up!" He snapped, sounding rather cranky from being up so late

Suddenly there was a faint knock on their door, it was probably Seungwoo or Juin

"Coming sweetheart" Seungcheol walked to the door an opened it

Seongwoo stood there, his eyes were still clouded with sleep. His hair was messy from sleep, and he had a soft looking penguin plushie in his hands, and was sucking his thumb. He was still half asleep

"what's wrong my love?" Seungcheol asked softly petting his head

"Couldn't sleep.." He mumbled, his voice was sleepy and tired, his eyes were half shut. He leaned into Seungcheol's touch, looking like a sleepy kitten

Seungcheol picked him up and walked to the bed, he really hoped Seongwoo couldn't hear him and Joshua arguing a few seconds ago

Thankfully Seongwoo was too sleepy to notice and hear them bickering a few seconds prior. He let out a soft yawn, a noise that was very similar to a kitten meowing, and he buried his face in the crook of Seungcheol's neck, his eyes slowly shutting again

Seungcheol gently layed him on the bed, next to Joshua, while he sat on the floor stroking his back

Seongwoo snuggled up to Joshua, the plushie in his arms, falling asleep once again. Meanwhile there was still an obvious tension between Seungcheol and Joshua. The silence between them was deafening, neither of them dared to speak

Seungcheol eventually fell asleep on the floor, Joshua and Seongwoo were also asleep on the bed, same for Juin in the other room

All remained quiet for the entire night, the only sound being the sounds of the three breathing. It was morning now, the sunlight started to filter through the windows. Seongwoo was the first to wake up, though he was still half asleep and very tired as he sat up on the bed, rubbing his still shut eyes with his fists

Seongwoo yawned in a way that once again sounded like a kitten meowing. He looked around the room, trying to spot his parents. He noticed that Seungcheol was on the floor, he was fast asleep, slumped against the wall. Seongwoo looked around to find any sign of Joshua, and saw him still asleep beside him

Seongwoo gently nudged Joshua, shaking him a little. He wanted him to wake up, as he was still tired. He continued to nudge and poke at a sleeping Joshua, he seemed quite persistent, as if trying to get him to wake up. Soon enough he got fed up, and climbed up onto Joshua's lap, and started shaking him around, trying to wake him up
