The man lounged in his revolving chair, the epitome of casual power and effortless allure. His thighs were apart, exuding a relaxed confidence as he sat back in his three-piece suit, the first two buttons of his shirt provocatively undone, adding a devilish touch to his handsome visage. One hand held a wine glass, the deep red liquid swirling gently, while the other rotated a paperweight with lazy precision.
His arms, covered in intricate tattoos, showcased a life lived on his own terms, with thick veins accentuating the muscularity beneath, making him irresistibly hot and sexy. It's no wonder every girl who saw him felt an immediate surge of desire, their thoughts turning feverishly erotic. Yet, amidst all the attention and yearning, he remained indifferent, not giving a single fuck about the effect he had on them.
By his look, anyone could interpret that he was planning something deep in his mind. Every detail of his appearance and demeanor suggested a man who meticulously strategized his every move, ensuring that his enemies never had the slightest clue about his intentions. He planned with a precision that left no room for error, always staying several steps ahead in the game.
A sudden phone call broke his trance. Without glancing at the caller ID, he picked up the phone, his expression unchanging as he brought the device to his ear, ready to engage with whatever new development awaited him.
Agastya's POV
'Boss , we caught that man and tied him in our basement,' one of my men reported.
My lips curved up into a familiar smirk.
'Good, I'm coming there' I responded, hanging up the call.
In the basement, a man was bound with thick metallic chains, securing both his hands and legs. His screams echoed through the cold, dimly lit room as he demanded to be released, threatening severe consequences if his pleas were ignored.
Agastya's men stood around him, their faces expressionless, impervious to his cries. They had become deaf to his threats, their loyalty and focus unwavering.
They immediately got alert hearing the footsteps echoing through the entire room.
Agastya stood calmly before the man, his hands in his pockets. The man struggled to free his hands from the chains.
'I said leave me now or else Devraj will not leave you all!!' I watched Austin's futile defiance with a mix of amusement and frustration.
His threats, filled with the misplaced confidence of someone who believed they had power, fell flat against the cold determination in my heart. It was almost laughable how he thought invoking Devraj's name could sway me.
"Where is the file?" I asked, my voice dripping with lazy indifference.
His answer came back just as lazily, a mirror to my tone. "I don't know anything."
Tony, who stood beside me, shifted as if to speak, but a sharp look from me silenced him immediately. My patience was thin, and Austin's lies were wearing it down.
"Do you know lying is bad manners, Austin?" I said, my voice low and dangerous. "By doing this, you're just putting yourself in more danger. You have no idea what's waiting for you."
"I already told you that I don't know anything, so why are you asking the same fucki-"
My hand moved before I could think, the slap landing hard across his face, cutting off his profanity. My jaw clenched. "That's the first and last time you use that word, understood?"
Austin's eyes closed, his face contorted in pain. A red mark bloomed on his cheek where my hand had connected.
"Now, come on," I coaxed, my voice deceptively gentle. "Answer me like a good boy. You really don't want to see what happens next."
