Kabanata 2 |  Dinner

And it's not like agriculture is our forte, right?" Si Angeline, the fairer one compared the other girl and has a healthy curly hair.

Like what Ma'am Salvador informed me, I am the lone grade eleven here.

"You say it as if we're only a street away from Davao. Maybe we can send requests from farmer organizations in Davao to conduct interviews. She tied her hair in a messy bun with strands of hair on the side of her face.

I looked at Tano who's busy reading the notebook I made about suggestions after I read a draft of their research paper last night.

I wish I can punch him right now, I'll surely add that as my dying wish list.

"Right? That's what you call effort."

No wonder why Ma'am Salvador wants you in this," dagdag niya pa.

Naagay noon ang atensyon ng dalawang babae. They asked for the notebook and also read it. Napangisi na lang ako nang tumango-tango sila.

"I think it's good, Kenji. You want to read it?" si Angeline.

Kenji closed his book and shooked his head. "Just add those infos on the paper. Print it and I'll read for checking."

God, isn't he too old for petty and childish things like this?

I almost scoffed. The pride of this four-eyes, really.

"Huh? Waste of papers! If you think there's a mistake, then we will have to print out again," si Carol naman.

Kumunot ang noo ni four-eyes, signaling his buildup of irritation. "Then just send me the softcopy. Tapos."

"Amaya, welcome to the group hehe." she smiled and waved at me.

I just gave her a small smile 'cause she was too friendly. Does she want to be friends with me?

Though, it doesn't have to be from grade seven to ten anymore since that'd be such a hassle to find lalo na at busy kami sa research. Her grades during grade eleven would be acceptable, at least.

I walked towards him and gave him my fakest smile. "You know what... I graduated as valedictorian of my batch during elementary and junior high school. I was and am still a campus journalist. I was also awarded with Best Research Award during a Regional Contest. I was only able to reach the third place on the national 'cause I got sick, I am asham—"
