Why did I do that?

“Are you a fucking boy scout? May first aid kit ka talaga sa bag mo?" puna ko nang nagpaalam siya saglit para kunin ang kanyang bag at ngayo’y nilalabas na ang first aid kit niya.

He frowned. “Isn't that common sense to people? First aid kits?"

I scoffed. “The fuck? I only bring alcohol or sanitizer with me… “

Huminto siya at saglit akong tinitigan. He sighed and shook his head. "Kung ako lang talaga ang masusunod, pipitikin ko ‘yang labi mo sa kada mura.”

He fixed his glasses with his index finger. Kinuha niya ang kamay ko at nilinis niya gamit ang tubig sa tumbler at saka pinunasan gamit ang bulak.

This man… akala ba niya wala akong alam sa first aid?

Ngumisi ako at hinayaan na lamang siya.

“Why? Nakaka-turn off ba?" pang-aasar ko.

Huminto siya at tiningala ako. He looked serious.

I pouted. “Fine. Fine. You said you like me for who I am, right? Though it's too corny and clichè for someone studious like you."

Hindi siya sumagot ang itinuon ang buong atensyon sa sugat ko. His hand feels rough and calloused but his touch was gentle and comforting. It was as if he's holding a million-dollar porcelain he can't break.

From my point of view, kita ko ang pawisan niyang noo. His dark and thick eyebrows. Ang matangos niyang ilong na sumusuporta sa salamin niya. His hair looks so soft as well.

Out of curiosity, "When did you start to like me?”

Bahagya siyang napahinto ngunit nagpatuloy rin. "Let me court you for real and I'll answer that,” he said.

I rolled my eyes. "I told you, we're in a relationship now. Hindi mo na kailangang manligaw o ano man kung uso pa ba ‘yan.”

He sighed. "All things don't need to be trendy or aesthetic. Gusto kong manligaw kung hahayaan mo ako. But if this is the best you can offer, then I'll accept it…”

So he's really agreeing to this set-up?

Nilagyan niya na ng band-aid ang sugat ko na natapos niya ng linisan.

Napakurap-kurap ako.

I swear, if someone would say those exact words to me, I might die from cringiness. But since he's the one who's saying it and he sounds really serious, it's weird but it's making me feel the butterflies in my stomach!

"... paseseryosohin naman kita. In time, seseryosohin mo rin ako. But for now, I won't be too greedy yet,” the side of his lips rose a bit.

Niligpit niya na ang gamit niya saka tumayo. “Go back to your class now. Bukas, may courtesy call tayo sa principal. Make sure to attend, susunduin kita sa huling klase mo," he said.

I pouted.

Woah. I really can't believe he's my boyfriend now.

Hinatid niya pa ako sa labas ng computer lab bago bumalik ulit sa conference room.

It feels so overwhelming.

Ano nga ulit ‘yung pinagsasabi mo, Amaya? This thing will be gone as soon as you finish the research?
