"I'm so sick of this feeling," the young woman grumbled, her deep brown eyes glowering with impertinence. She sat across from Lauren in the dining room of their favorite Japanese restaurant, stirring her chopsticks in her spicy ramen, thinking back to her week. "Is this what it's like? This aggressively tormenting feeling of wanting something you know better than to go after?"

Lauren eyed her friend, raising her brows in amusement and interest. The last time Onika had ever been so worked up was when she drunkenly danced on a random man at the club and gave him her number.

Instant regret.

"Oh shit, you're gone, gone. How many times have you... yaknow.."

"Twice... this morning alone." She hides her face quickly, "I don't understand why it's come so natural. I've never done it before, and when it's over I feel like I did something wrong." She fussed quietly. The feeling of talking about it alone was overwhelming. She couldn't contain herself anymore and it embarrassed her. How did women do it? How did they bring themselves to that edge then brush it off? How come Onika couldn't?

Lauren found it entertaining how her friend seemed to spiral over the simple things. "I don't know why this makes you feel so odd. I explored my sexuality back in high school. Because, you know, that's usually when people start having sex anyway."

"Don't say things like that. You know why I didn't do all of that." Her focus had always been on her studies and unfortunately at that time she was too socially awkward to meet guys, or girls. She didn't know what desire felt like until now. "I just think maybe I need to work on something new. A fundraiser or charity maybe? Are there any events coming up?"

The brunette looked painfully at her best friend before she spotted someone out of the corner of her eye. She smiled softly to herself. "Lemme get back to you on that, Nika. Excuse me real quick." She made a bit of a scene, her chair squeaking as she pushed it out, gaining a few stares. Especially from a pair of amber eyes.

Looking up from her food, Beyoncé gazed past Kelly and watched as Onika's best friend left for the bathroom. She'd been discreetly enjoying the view from here. She liked how Onika dressed outside of the lab. Expressing herself in a nice pair of jeans, a pink top, and pink sandals. Simple but cute and well put together.

"Are you going to talk to her, or will you be watching her for the rest of dinner?" Kelly chuckles, eyeing her best friend. Beyoncé turns to her and hummed.

"You've spent time with Solange it seems."

"Your sister and I are all for your little... crush. Just stop being so creepy about it." She laughed. "Go talk to that girl, we have both been listening in on her conversation. It seems like you've been heavy on her mind."

With a light smirk, the blonde stood and made her way over to the table where Onika sat, smoothly sliding into Lauren's seat. "Hello, Maraj."

Onika's eyes widened slightly as she nervously swallowed nothing but her own words. She opened her mouth and nothing came out. Embarrassed, she took her glass of water and brought it to her lips.
