Jake's Pov's

After everyone else had left, I found myself alone with her. My angel. She was so beautiful, my precious little angel. All the feelings I had tried to keep locked away suddenly overwhelmed me. The need to hold her in my arms and taste her lips again was almost too much to bear.

"Angel," I said, getting up from the bed. I almost smiled when I saw her beautiful hazel eyes widen as I approached her.

"Jake, what, why..." she stammered, but she stopped when I cupped her face in my hands. I smiled as I saw her blush. Looking into her eyes, I softly kissed her lips. I pulled back, still gazing into her eyes, and gasped when she grabbed my head and pulled me back. I almost melted when I felt her lips again. I needed more; I needed to taste her. I kissed her more passionately, hearing a moan as I deepened the kiss.

"Wow," she said. "More," she demanded. I laughed as I pulled her to the bed and made her lay with me.

"Jake," she said, looking into my eyes.

"Yes?" I waited patiently to see what she wanted to know.

"I know we can't talk about that now, but will you tell me how you convinced Alan to come to your aid?"

"I will, as soon as I'm out of the hospital, be in a safer place," I promised.

I heard her mumble something but couldn't make out what it was. I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Just saying that you and Alan love the word 'safe,' and I'm starting to hate it," she said with a hint of impatience. I laughed softly at her annoyance; she always hated when people withheld information from her.

"Have patience, Angel. Now let's rest; I feel tired," I said, closing my eyes. To be honest, I was faking my exhaustion. I just wanted to enjoy these moments with her in my arms. I felt her head on my chest, inhaling sharply. Her scent reminded me of a late autumn afternoon, with all the brown and gold leaves around us—a beautiful and perfect moment. Slowly, I felt myself succumbing to sleep.

As I drifted off, my mind wandered to the chaotic events of the past few days. Despite everything, this moment with her felt like a sanctuary. The warmth of her body next to mine, the rhythmic sound of her breathing—it all lulled me into a sense of peace I hadn't felt in a long time. Whatever challenges lay ahead, I knew we would face them together. With that comforting thought, I let sleep take over, content in the knowledge that my angel was right there with me.

Mc's Pov's

As Jake was busy talking with the guys , I took advantage and started to study him. He was a gorgeous man; he had a sharp jawline and chin; his nose was straight and well proportioned; and, uh, his lips are perfectly shaped (not too full, not to full, not to thin). His hair looks slightly tousled because of the hospital bed, giving him a dangerous and wild look And at last, his eyes are captivating—what an unusual blue colour , although they seem familiar.

"Mc," I hear Lilly saying, and I look at her. "Are you staying or will you come with us? "

"I will stay, Lilly." I will catch up with you guys tomorrow, I say softly, and she nods at me in understanding.

"Okay, gang, it is time to go," Says Dan, winking at me and hugging me , "I will bring you tomorrow a fresh coffee." They all start to hug me and say our goodbyes.

"Angel," I hear, and it almost startles me when I see him getting up from the bed. My heart skipped a beat as his piercing eyes locked onto mine, and I couldn't help but inhale fast as he approached me.

"Jake , what , why... " I stammered, getting angry with myself as I did. The next words caught on to my throat as he gently cupped my face in his hands.

His touch sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt it as I started blushing. I couldn't move my eyes from his; it was like he had me hypnotized. When his lips met mine, the whole world disappeared around me. When he pulled back, gazing into my eyes, I instinctively grabbed his head, pulling him back to me.

The feeling of his body, of his lips, and of his taste were intoxicating. When he deepened his kiss, I couldn't help but moan.

"Wow," I said when the kiss finished. "More," I demanded. When Jake start to laugh , i wanted to protest, but he slowly started to pull me towards bed . Damn, I didn't think that he might be tired.

"Jake," I said, looking into his eyes.

"Yes," He responded, waiting patiently

"I will, as soon as I'm out of the hospital, be in a safer place," he promised. I mumbled something under my breath, feeling a bit frustrated.

"What?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Just saying that you and Alan love the wordsafe," and I'm starting to hate it," I said with a sigh. He laughed softly at my impatience, a trait he knew all too well.

"Have patience, Angel. Now let's rest; I feel tired," he said, closing his eyes. I rested my head on his chest, taking in his scent. His woody aroma evoked memories of cozy nights by the fire, filling me with a profound sense of being cherished and protected.

. Slowly, I felt his breathing even out, and I allowed myself to relax, letting the warmth of his presence lull me into a sense of peace.

As he drifted off, I watched him, my heart swelling with love and gratitude. Despite everything we had been through, this moment felt like a precious gift. The weight of the world seemed to lift, if only for a little while. I let the comfort of his embrace carry me away as I closed my eyes and felt his chest steadily rise and fall beneath my cheek.
