I was currently walking around Alice's bedroom in the Cullen's house, nervously biting my lip. It was August 13th: Bella's wedding day. She was currently practicing her vows while Alice was trying to do my hair and makeup.

"You're gonna wear a path in my floor if you keep pacing," Alice giggles, "I know you're worried but don't be everything is gonna turn out fine."

"You saw it?" I try to confirm.

"Well I saw most of the wedding and it turns out great," she pats a chair in front of her, "now, sit back down and let me start on your hair."

"Most of it? What do you mean," I ask sinking into her plush armchair.

"I can see bella and all of my family's future at the wedding," she pauses as she begins to brush my hair, "you on the other hand...," she trails off.

"What? You can't see my future?!" I turn my head towards her briefly imagining the volturi ripping me apart or a freak accident like a bear mauling me to death, "am I gonna die?!"

Alice gives me a pitying smile, "no... of course not, it just means you're going to be around someone I can't see," she gently explained as she straitened my hair.

"There are people you can't see the future of?" I face forward again and looking at her work through the ornate mirror in front of me trying to calm myself down, "like how Edward can't read Bella's mind?"

She smiles, "exactly, I can only see the future of beings I've been... human and vampire."

it only takes a moment for me to realize what she wasn't saying, "Paul..."

She nods making a slight face at his name, "shifters are... out of my expertise and we don't usually play well with each other, but since they're a friend of Bella's and yours, I can play nice for tonight."

I stay silent for a bit dissecting her look and words, her mannerisms and the cautious way she talked about them made it obvious she very much disliked them but was watching what she said around me, "if you want me to apologize for playing nice with the shifters, Alice, I won't; they're my friends and Paul... well Paul is... Paul."

"Well, I think you should pick better friends," she says matter a factly. Not seeming to see an issue with what came out of her mouth.

I met her eyes in the mirror furrowing my brows, "That's not for you to decide, Alice."

She pursued her lips and we both stay silent as she does my hair. Her hands nimbly move through my hair as she does a halo braid leaving out a couple of face framing pieces. She curls the strands she left out before stepping back and appreciating her work, "I just want you to stay safe you know; shifters can be... unpredictable."

"As opposed to the very predictable vampires, like Rosalie, who nearly attacked me?" I raise a brow.

"Well rose can be-," she stops speaking suddenly. I thought it odd until I heard her voice.

"Can be what? Go ahead, Alice," a frowning Rosalie rounds the corner, "a bitch?"

"At least she's aware...," i mutter. Rosalie's eyes snap toward me just as Alice quickly speaks up.

"I was gonna say temperamental," Rosalie scoffs yet Alice continues now looking at me, "but, she's a good person, loyal to the core, and cares for those who care for her."

Rosalie's lips pull into a soft reluctant smile, "thanks, Ally."

Alice smiles, "no problem."

I look between them and had rose not been a terror to be around I would have found it endearing but as of right now it was at most annoyingly cute.
