Love PoV

As four months have passed since the accident, Milk and I finally mustered the courage to delve into the details of my coma. It was a conversation we had been avoiding, the weight of the unspoken hanging heavily between us.

Milk's worry was palpable as I recounted the events of that fateful day. I could see the concern etched in her furrowed brow as she listened intently to my words. The memory of the accident was still fresh in my mind, each detail seared into my memory like a brand.

"I remember it like it was yesterday," I began, my voice trembling slightly with emotion. "You dropped me off in front of the office, and I decided to grab a quick drink before heading inside."

The words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of what came next. I could feel Milk's hand tighten around mine, a silent gesture of support as I continued.

"I never imagined that a simple craving would lead to such devastation," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "As I crossed the road, I was blindsided by a drunk driver. The impact... it's something I'll never forget."

Milk's expression softened with empathy as she took in my words. She had been through every moment of my recovery, bearing witness to the physical and emotional toll it had taken on me. But there was one aspect of my ordeal that I had yet to share with her.

"What she doesn't know," I thought to myself, "is the agony I endured during those long days in the coma, when I believed she wasn't by my side."

But even as the memories threatened to overwhelm me, I pushed them aside, focusing instead on the present moment. With Milk beside me, I knew I could face anything, no matter how painful or difficult.

As we sat there together, the weight of our shared experience binding us closer than ever, I felt a sense of gratitude wash over me. Despite the hardships we had endured, we had emerged stronger, more resilient than before. And as I looked into Milk's eyes, I knew that together, we could overcome anything life threw our way.

As I returned to work after my accident, I made the decision to open up to my officemates about Milk. It wasn't an easy choice, but I knew I couldn't keep hiding such an important part of my life.

To my surprise, most of them weren't shocked at all. In fact, they were incredibly accepting and supportive. They had already noticed how caring and patient Milk was whenever she dropped by the office or joined us for lunch. It was as if they had sensed the depth of our connection long before I ever spoke a word about it.

"Man, you're so lucky to have someone like Milk," one of my coworkers remarked, a genuine smile lighting up his face. "She's always been there for you, through thick and thin."

Another nodded in agreement. "Yeah, she's the best. You two are perfect for each other."

Their words warmed my heart, reaffirming what I already knew deep down: Milk was truly a gift in my life, and I was grateful for every moment we shared together.

As the days went by, I found myself surrounded by colleagues who not only respected my relationship but also admired the bond that Milk and I shared. It was a comforting feeling, knowing that I didn't have to hide who I was or who I loved in the workplace.

And as for Milk, she was touched by the outpouring of support from my officemates. She had always been a private person due to my request, but seeing how much they cared for us both made her feel like she was part of a bigger family.

Together, we navigated the ups and downs of work life, buoyed by the knowledge that we had a network of friends who accepted us for who we were. And in the end, that was all that mattered.
