I feel so restless these days. Maayos naman ang naging takbo ng research namin but Kenji is still the same bastard as he is. I wish I could just ignore him the same but I don't have a choice as he is the leader.

Hindi ko alam kung may superiority complex ba siya o main character syndrome. So annoying.

"I feel like I'm dying," I whispered.

Sa pagod ay ni hindi ko na masaway si Venice na kumukuha ng prutas sa baunan ko. Break time ngayon kaya pareho kaming nasa canteen.

"Uy, ako rin! Sarap mag-drop out!" tawa niya.

I shook my head as I lazily picked an apple cut cube-sized.

At dahil nasa tabi kami ng glass window na pumapalibot sa canteen, it didn't help to ease my irritation when Kenji entered my field of vision.

Halos nanggigigil kong tinusok ang prutas sa galit.

He's proudly walking alone with his black backpack. Naka-earpods pa na white ang kumag. His white polo shirt and black pants look so bland. May hawak pang libro sa isang kamay.

I wish I could prick his eyes.

"Huy! Kilala mo?" hawi sa akin ni Venice habang sumusubo ng kanin.

"Sino!?"

"Ay, galit! Si Kenji ba kako kilala mo? Sa kanya ka nakatingin diba?" aniya.

I heaved a sigh. "He's the leader of the research group Ma'am Salvador mentioned, remember?"

Napaisip siya at napatango. "Oo nga pala! Gets ko na pagkamuhi mo! Pero in all fairness, aminin mo... pogi saka matalino!"

I rolled my eyes. She's right. But... "I would've appreciated that if only he's kind. He's so annoying!"

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya. "Pinagsasabi mo? Hoy, mabait 'yan! Dinig ko nga favorite 'yan ng mga teachers kasi matalino at mabait."

Ngumisi ako. So this four-eyes is a teacher's pet, huh?

At sinong mabait? Yung Kenji na 'yon?

Tangina. Saan banda?

"I want the introduction revised as well," Kenji mentioned as he pointed out on his laptop the errors he had seen.

Revise? Na naman!?

"Angeline and Carol are working out the RRL, right? Tano is working with me," aniya bago ako nilingon.

Napalunok ako.

"Revise it, Ms Valdez."

My mouth widened. Did he just put an honorific before my name? Tapos sa iba naka-first name basis siya.

For the good of God, he's incredibly the most annoying person I've ever encountered!

"And I want it done next Saturday so I can check it immediately."

Napapikit ako at halos tumawa na. Masiyado niya naman yatang pinapahalata ang galit niya sa akin! This brute is really asking for it.

"Next Saturday, Kenji? Isn't that too time-demanding? Siya lang ang nilagay mo so give her more time. That's too much workload," si Angeline na madalas talaga ay kumakampi sa akin.

Iritado namang kumunot ang noo ni Kenji. "She's free not to do it if she can't. Hindi ko siya pinipilit."

Wow.

"I might not be able to finish it by next Saturday. We have consecutive quizzes and project deadlines by the coming week. And we also have practi-," I explained.
