VEER

Marriage.

I never thought in my life that I would ask someone for that. Until her.

I always knew that she had some effect on me but now after a week, the condition of my heart was still the same. It still beats crazily whenever I see her picture.

I zoomed her picture; which I took when she was talking on her phone to someone. I tried to get the slight glimpse of her smile. Her small hands were plucking out the rose petals as she makes a small pout.

It's cute.

A subtle smile appears on my face as I looked at the picture, "Nice shot" a low and soft voice made me flinch, I turned to see, it's maa and my face relaxes a bit. Hopefully it's not Ahaan or else he won't let me live in peace.

Her faces holds a smile as she continues her stare at the picture. Tilting my head backwards, I faced maa, she smiles softly and asks "So, did you talk to her?" her tone was filled with little excitement as she turned fully towards me.

Yeah, I did.

She needs time to think, that's what she said before exiting the cafe in hurry. As she was so taken by my unexpected proposal, I gave her time to think, a whole-fucking-week.

Maa's soft voice breaks the chain of my thoughts, "if not then I'm ready to talk" she exclaimed, holding an assured smile and stands up.

"No, I'll talk to her. No need to pressurise her" I said, remembering her reaction from the last time. The way her hazel brown orbs were jammed on me at that time, as If she saw some ghost.

She looked cute though.

A teasing smile plastered on her face "As you say, ab ladki khud select ki hae to bat bhi tum hi karo" she replied and walks towards the kitchen.

Slurping the rest of the coffee, I made my way towards the bedroom while turning the phone on, I observed the battery; almost dead.

Dashing towards my room, I clicked open the door and closed it with a low sound. Revolving around the other side of the bed, I plugged the charger in phone and placed it on the table.

heading toward the closet, I picked up a simple sweatpants and a t-shirt which hugs my muscles like a second skin. Turning on the faucet, I let it take its time to settle down to the right temperature.

Within minutes after shedding the cloths away, I walked into the shower. My eyes gets closed on their own as the I feel the right temperature against my body, as it relaxes my tensed and stiff muscles.
