Y/N leaned back on the couch, the soft strains of music filling the cozy apartment. It was her day off from Smosh, and she had been looking forward to this moment all week. Beside her, Lexi passed her a joint, and they shared a knowing smile.
"Ah, this is the life," Y/N sighed, exhaling a cloud of smoke into the air. "No work, just chillin'."
Lexi chuckled, taking another hit before passing the joint back. "Seriously, I needed this. Thanks for inviting me over."
"Anytime, girl," Y/N replied with a grin. "Siblings might be a pain sometimes, but hey, living with Shayne has its perks."
Just as they settled into the rhythm of their lazy afternoon, they heard the apartment door swing open. Y/N glanced over to see Shayne entering with a group of friends, including Ian, Anthony, Courtney, and a few others from Smosh. She felt a pang of guilt for not expecting company, but Shayne's easygoing grin reassured her.
"Hey, little sis!" Shayne called out, his voice tinged with amusement as he surveyed the scene. "Having a party without me?"
Y/N laughed, feeling a little sheepish under Ian's amused gaze. "Just a chill session with Lexi. Didn't know you were bringing the whole squad home."
"It's all good," Shayne said, clapping Ian on the shoulder. "Join us, guys. It's about to get cozy in here."
Lexi, always the social butterfly, greeted everyone warmly as they settled into the living room. Y/N shifted closer to Ian on the couch, suddenly aware of his presence more than usual. He smiled at her, his eyes warm and friendly, and she felt her cheeks heat up.
As the evening wore on, laughter and conversation filled the air, punctuated by occasional fits of giggles from Y/N and Lexi. Y/N found herself drawn into Ian's easy charm, enjoying their conversations about everything from silly memes to deeper topics about life and creativity.
Eventually, the hours slipped away, and the effects of their earlier indulgence caught up with Y/N. She yawned widely, leaning against Ian's shoulder without a second thought. Ian chuckled softly, his arm wrapping around her instinctively as she settled against him.
"Feeling tired, Y/N?" Ian asked in a low voice, his breath tickling her ear.
"Yeah," Y/N murmured, feeling unexpectedly comfortable in Ian's embrace. "But I'm having a great time."
"Me too," Ian admitted quietly, his fingers brushing through her hair. "You're pretty amazing, you know."
Y/N lifted her head slightly to meet Ian's gaze, her heart skipping a beat at the sincerity in his eyes. "Thanks," she replied softly. "You're not so bad yourself."
Ian smiled, a little shyly. "Hey, do you think... maybe we could do this again? Just... us?"
Y/N felt a rush of warmth spreading through her. "I'd like that," she whispered, feeling a surge of courage. "I actually... really like you, Ian."
Ian's smile widened, and before Y/N knew it, he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. It was soft and sweet, filled with unspoken promises of what could be.
The next morning, Y/N woke up with a contented sigh, nestled against Ian's chest. The room was bathed in soft morning light, and she realized with a start that they had fallen asleep together on the couch. Ian stirred awake beside her, his eyes crinkling with a smile as he looked down at her.
"Good morning," Ian said softly, brushing a strand of hair from Y/N's face.
Y/N smiled sleepily up at him. "Morning."
They lay there for a moment, simply enjoying the quiet intimacy of the morning. Then, Y/N took a deep breath. "Last night... it wasn't just the high, right?"
Ian shook his head, his expression earnest. "No, it wasn't. I really like you, Y/N."
Y/N's heart soared. "I really like you too, Ian."
And in that moment, amidst the lingering scent of smoke and the warmth of each other's presence, they knew that their lazy, hazy day off had unexpectedly led them to something wonderful—a budding romance that promised to be as colorful and vibrant as their shared moments of laughter and connection at Smosh.
