Third Person View
The older girl watches as the younger one paces back and forth to change into something formal. Having enough of it, Jennie speaks up, sounding confused and a bit irritated.
"Lalisa! Why are you panicking?"
"You don't understand Jen! Oh shit! shit! shit!"
"Oh, sure I do. Just tell me what's wrong please?" This time Jen made her way to the younger girl she took Lisa's hand into hers and look into her eyes. "I just want to help you." She doesn't understand what's going on and being obliviously ignorant was never really fine to her. It's irritating.
"I.. can you still accept me even after knowing who I really am Jen?" The fear overtakes Lisa as she looks into the brunette. It breaks Jennie's heart knowing that the latter thinks like that.
"Why wouldn't I? I told you... I like you."
"But why me?! I-I'm not b-beautiful, I'm so b- boring, not really confident, I'm annoying and.. and.."
"Shh-- What are you saying?" Jennie grew confused seeing the overtaking fear on the younger one. There at that moment, she saw how vulnerable Lisa is.
She hates it. She hates how much the younger one thinks of herself like that. It made her think about how and why she acts like this and thought that maybe it was connected to her parents. The thought automatically made her fist her hands into a ball in anger.
She hopes not.
"Listen okay?" Jennie guide Lisa to look at her when the younger did she smile. A full-blown reassuring smile.
"Don't ask why it has to be you... Just stay with me. Okay?"
Lisa saw how serious Jennie is. She feels it with her hold, with the rhythm of their heartbeat, and see it with her eyes. It speaks a thousand unspoken promises between them. And without missing a beat, she nods. She nods because she believes Jennie would never hurt her, at least not intentionally. She nods because somehow those unspoken promises reassure her, calms her... And that just proves how much she feels for the latter.
Scary isn't it? Trusting someone with your heart-- risking it for a possibility of heartbreak, believing and expecting them to fulfill their promises not knowing when she would break all of it and give you another set of insecurities.. but at the same time that someone makes you feel so alive, so happy, so delighted-- that euphoric feeling.. that high of being in love.. and that alone makes her think that it's worth it.
She really hopes so.
As they stare at each other Lisa steps forward, forgets all her problems for a minute.. just a minute. And stare at Jennie's eyes.
"I'll let you in.. but please-- don't break anything."
Jennie's eyes widened in shock but recovered right away. She let out a boyish grin staring back at the blonde with eyes full of happiness.
She never felt so happy not until that.
Hearing what Lisa said made her feel like she's in the greatest height of Earth, like she could take anything thrown on her direction. She'd fight a losing battle and win it just because Lisa was waiting home for her. That kind of feeling surges into Jennie's system like a river connecting the ocean. So with all her heart, she held onto Lisa's hand.
"Of course I won't. I never will. I promise."
"Now can you tell me what's going on?"
