After me and my mum have packed everything and we have lifted the stuff downstairs, it is time to say goodbye. I stand in the corridor with my parents in front of me. My father is crying, with sadness that I am leaving for a year.'Say dad, I will really come home to spend holidays here one day,' I remark, which already makes my father feel a lot less sad. A faint smile forms on his mouth. 'And who knows, maybe I'll bring friends to come and stay here.''She's right. And we'll keep in touch with the elemental' my mother says with satisfaction. Her pride is evident.'Wait a minute, elemental?' I ask confused. 'What is that?''The elemental is a mythical creature connected to one of the four elements. We can give a letter, which they will then deliver to you. All four elements have their own mythical creature. The werewolf is the mythical being of earth, the unicorn is the mythical being of air, the mermaid is the mythical being of water and the dragon is the mythical being of fire. They will always ask if you want to send back a response, if not they disappear,' she tells me.'And which element do you have again?' I ask them.'Your father has the element water and I have air,' my mother replies.'So I can expect a mermaid or a unicorn if you contact me?', I ask as a question to her.'Yes,' my father answers accurately.
My mother looks at her watch. 'It's time. You have to go,' she then says.'Cuddle time!' my father still calls out and pulls me into a hug. He pretty much hugs me flat, but releases me after a few seconds.'Have fun sweetheart,' my mother says.'Thank you mum,' I thank her and turn around. I look at the two buttons next to the door, they say: normal front door and telepathic door. With my index finger of my right hand, I press the button of the telepathic door. I then grab the door handle with my right hand, after which I pull the door towards me. In front of me I see a beautiful green landscape, the grass is green and the surrounding trees are dark green and some are slightly lighter. The sun is somewhere at the top of the sleek light blue sky, where there is not a cloud in sight. On both my sides, I see many people entering the landscape, all also through the telepathic door. Then I also enter the landscape and I turn around myself for a moment.'See you again soon mum and dad,' I say to them and see them waving. They probably can't understand me. I want to close the door, but my father grabs the door and holds it open. For a moment I smile and already know why, he wants to see me walk to the academy. So I decide to turn around and only now see a big academy.'Wow, beautiful!' I remark.'Beautiful it certainly is,' I hear someone say.
I look up to the side where I heard the gene talking and see a girl with half-long blonde hair standing there. It hangs to her chest height, which makes her look handsome. Her brown eyes look spontaneously friendly at me.'Shall we walk together? Alone is just alone,' I ask her and smile kindly.'Sure, cozy,' she smiles kindly and bares her teeth. Two beautiful rides of white teeth appear.'What's your name anyway?', I ask curiously.'Ho, slow down. Let's introduce each other on the way,' she replies somewhat coyly.'My excuse. That's fine,' I respond honestly and walk with her to the academy.'Well, I'm Nyrah. And you are?" she asks some time later.
'I am Azara. May I ask how old you are?', I reply and curiously ask on.
'How old do you think?', she asks grinning.
'Oh wait, everyone who goes to elements academy for the first time now is twelve,' I respond embarrassedly and laugh for a moment.
'Oh well, can happen,' she grins.
I stop talking for a moment and enjoy the silence here. Actually, no one speaks to each other at all. Everyone enjoys the silence and just lets everything take its course. And so do I.
After walking a distance of I guess about six hundred metres, we arrive at the academy square. The academy looks even bigger now that I am standing here, than seeing it from a distance.
'Watte hack, the academy looks really insanely big,' I hear Nyrah say next to me as a comment.
'Definitely,' I say and chuckle at her for a moment.
'Welcome, how nice to see your faces. I am Omara Oshiqo and I am teaching the element development class. It's a beautiful day and I wish a happy birthday to the people whose birthday it is today. I want to pass along to you all, enjoy and feel free. Having said this, I hand over the floor to former director Qasin Zauters,' a female voice tells me. I look forward and see a small woman with grey hair.
'Thank you, Omara. On my behalf too, welcome. I would like to tell you the history of the Elements Academy. The Elements Academy was built in the year twelve thousand. The construction took two years because, as you can already see, it was huge. Therefore, the construction of the academy was completed in two thousand and two. In the month as we live now, the academy was opened for the first time. So dear people, exactly today is the Elements Academy's birthday. So it has existed for one thousand and thirty-two years. Over the years, we have had occasional problems with leaks and cracks in the walls. This whole month, the entire academy has been renovated, which was much needed. And that was not all, yesterday an inspector thoroughly inspected the academy and fifteen minutes ago I received a letter saying that the academy has been approved. So I want to inform you that no accidents can happen and the academy is safe to be used. Further, I wish you a fine and happy school year,' the headmaster told me.
My mouth is open in amazement at the history of the academy.
'Shall we share a room together?", Nyrah asks me enthusiastically.
'Sure, let's go inside,' I reply cheerfully. The teacher and the headmaster turn and walk into the academy. We get moving and the rest of all the other students imitate us. Everyone wants to go inside. And I understand that. Everyone is curious to see the inside of the academy.
