Inside the academy my jaw drops even further. It was already big on the outside, but the inside seems even bigger than the outside. There are a lot of other students around me. Probably students from another year, who have been coming here much longer.
'Well, how are we going to find the rooms?', I ask Nyrah.
'I have no idea, we don't have a map of the academy,' Nyrah answers my question, laughing quite a bit. 'But maybe I'll see my sister walking somewhere?'
'Do you have a sister?', I ask her in surprise.
'Yes, a fourteen-year-old sister,' she answers and laughs briefly.
'What year is she in?', I ask in surprise.
'In the third year," she answers and laughs again.
'What does she look like?', I ask her. 'Then I'll help you search.'
'No, I have another solution,' she grins.
'And that is?'
'Lina?' she shouts loudly through the large hall.
I look at her with wide eyes. Will it work?
'Lina!' she shouts again.
'Yes?', someone suddenly asks, appearing behind us. I turn around with Nyrah.
'Lina, hey! Can you help us? Me and uh, what's your name again?' Nyrah asks her sister, but seems to have forgotten my name.
'Azara,' I answer with a smile.
'Oh yes, me and Azara are looking for the rooms. Can you lead us to it?', she asks her sister.
In the meantime I'm checking out her sister. She doesn't have the blonde hair like Nyrah and she doesn't have the same eye color. Her hair is short brown and her eyes are dark green.
'Sure, come follow me,' Lina answers, turning around and walking towards a large, wide staircase. The stairs are located in the middle of the large hall, after which the stairs are halfway to a floor and the stairs continue to the left and right.
'I will tell you that it is high,' says Lina, Nyrah's sister.
'No problem,' we both say at the same time.
We walk up no fewer than five flights of stairs, which ultimately end up on the last floor.
'This is where all the rooms are located. Left is for the boys and right is for the girls. All the classrooms are on the floors below,' Lina explains to us.
'Great, thanks for your help,' I thank her.
'No problem. Are you friends?', Lina asks me curiously.
I want to answer something, but I don't get a chance to do so.
'Not yet, maybe we will,' Nyrah answers quickly.
'And can you also see which rooms are already occupied?', I quickly ask Lina, while I feel Nyrah grab my arm.
'Certainly, there are nameplates on the doors. Once you have made the choice, you stay in that room and say: my choice,' she explains to me. Then Nyrah pulls me along. I see Lina shrug her shoulders for a moment, but then go back down.
We quickly chose a room with a beautiful view, both of the square and of the landscape in which we arrived.
'I'm already looking forward to it,' I say enthusiastically and want to unpack my suitcase, which I have been dragging behind me all this time.
'Wait a minute, I think we need to say something first,' Nyrah says quickly.
'My choice,' I chuckle and she quickly follows my lead.
I don't notice anything, but apparently something has happened. Outside the room I already hear a desperate sigh from someone.
'Haha, I don't think we were the only ones who wanted this room,' I chuckle.
'Yes, then that person will have to look further,' Nyrah chuckles.
'Come on, let's unpack the suitcases,' I say and get ready to unpack my suitcase.
'No wait, let's explore the academy,' Nyrah says enthusiastically.
'Yes, but then we have to unpack the suitcases when we are exhausted,' I tell her.
'Oh, that's true of course. Let's unpack our suitcases first and then we'll explore the academy,' Nyrah then says.
'Great,' I respond and crouch down next to my suitcase. I lay my suitcase flat on the floor and click it open. As soon as I open my suitcase I immediately see the photo frame with me and my parents on it. A tear escapes from the corner of my eye and I smile slightly. It's thanks to them that I ended up here, they have supported me all these years. Also at the time when my neighbor died, with whom I was always so close. But yes, could you prevent her death? No, because she was given medication for that disease. Unfortunately, the disease had won. And that time cannot be turned back.
I quickly wipe away the tears and grab the photo frame, after which I stand up again and walk to the side table next to the bed. That's where I put the photo frame. I take a few steps back and then look at it again. It looks great there.
I turn around and walk back to the suitcase. There I unpack my first shirt. I look around and see a large cupboard next to my bed. I quickly get up again and walk to the cupboard, which I then open.
'Okay, I'm ready,' I suddenly hear Nyrah say.
'What?', I say in surprise and turn around. All her clothes are neatly stacked in her closet, after which she quickly closes her closet.
'How did you do that so quickly?', I ask in surprise.
'A spell I learned from my sister. I'll help you,' she says and walks towards me. 'Tersus Contentus.'
After she says that, my clothes float out of my suitcase and straight to the closet. My mouth drops open in surprise. 'I have to remember that,' I say in surprise. 'Can that also be done with packing?'
'Yes, but I won't say that now, because then you'll have to start over again,' she says and grins.
'And make your bed?', I ask.
'I know that saying too. Can you take that out? Then I can arrange that for you too,' she says immediately and smiles with satisfaction.
I nod and walk to my suitcase, where I unpack my bedding. The spell just continues to clean up my clothes. I put the bedding on the bed.
'Lectum Tuum,' Nyrah says, and my bedding begins to float as well. It is starting to build up on the mattress and pillow.
'Cool,' I say with a big grin.
Not much later the bed is made and all my clothes are put away in the closet. I push my suitcase under the bed.
'Great, let's explore the academy now!' I say enthusiastically.
Together we leave the bedroom and start exploring.
