okay this is gonna be a set up a little different than last time. {also is kinda a filler} love you guys! thanks for reading!

"t-turn left here. my house is the l-last h-house" calum stuttered.

"okay!" michael said cheerfully as we pulled up onto my driveway, "next stop, luke's house."

luke blushed and looked at calum "i am, once again, truly sorry about this morning." luke said while struggling to look calum in the eyes. "maybe you can come over after school tomorrow? like, only if you want... i can see why you wouldn't...you know becau-"

calum was surprised that he was able to make friends this fast in the new neighborhood. "of c-course. i would l-love to." calum said, trying not to stutter.

"cmon lovebirds, im hungry lukeee" michael complained from inside the car. that's when calum and luke noticed that they were just standing outside, looking into eachothers eyes.

"oh...right. sorry michael" luke hollered back, "okay cal, i will walk you to your door." luke offered while picking up calum's bag.

"n-no. no! y-y-you don't have to w-worry about m-me. i can d-do i-it all by m-myself." calum said frantically.

why did calum get so nervous all of a sudden? luke thought to himself. why doesn't he want my help and why is he stuttering again?

"please just let me help. it's the least i can do!" luke said a bit forcefully.

calum just shook his head and leaned over to pick up his bag. he doubled over and almost fell again, the bag was too heavy and caused tons of pain all over his body.

"okay, okay. you w-win l-luke" calum mumbled.

"yayayay okay, here" luke happily cheered while he picked up the bag and held calum's good arm, leading him up the driveway.

"okay, i g-got the rest f-from here. t-thanks again luke." calum said.

"but we are only halfway up the pathway? cal, are you sure you got this?" luke questioned.

"y-yeah. im fine n-now" calum whispered.

"when shall i see you again, hood?" luke stated confidently.

"im n-not sure. d-do you want m-my n-number?" calum stuttered.

"i was about to ask" luke giggled.
they exchanged phones and put their contacts in. they returned phones.

"lukey-pookey?" calum looked up at luke with a grin on his face.

"calpal? i like it!" luke giggled even more.

wow, calum thought, i love this boys laugh. it's so cute I just want to pinch his little cheeks and poke his dimples an-

"you do know that you're talking aloud, right calpal?" luke said with a smirk.

"o-oh. s-s-sorry." calum said. he was so embarrassed, calum ran/limped up the rest of the pathway and opened the door.

"bye l-lukey-pookey. tell m-michael i said t-thanks." calum called out and then slammed the door shut.

"goodbye calpal" luke whispered to himself.

as luke was walking back to mikey's car, he could have sworn he heard a woman's voice yelling and someones voice crying and apologizing.

luke texted "calpal, i will see you tomorrow! :-) we will pick you up in the morning and take you home" then he quickly added "i hope you're okay. <3"

luke hopped back into the car. calum had read the message. there was no response for a little while. then luke's phone vibrated.

calpal-"okay, i will see you two later :)"

lukey-pookey-"great! are you okay?"

calpal-"nobody puts noses in smiley faces"

lukey-pookey-"i dooo :-) but you didn't answer my question..."

luke waited for awhile and got no response from calum. luke was worried.
