Chapter 7

IT WAS ANOTHER 20 MINUTES OF FIGHTING, of destroying every vampire that came close to them until finally Athena took of the lasts' head. She looked around, seeing no vampires up and ready to fight.

"Oh my gosh, that was amazing" she breathed looking around in awe
"That was the best thing i've ever done" she laughed as Emmett high-fived her whilst the others burned the bodies into piles.

"Well it was all you so i'd bloody hope so"

"Guys" Alice said turning all attention to her and everyone walked over, stepping over the bodies as they did.

Rosalie: "What is it Alice?"

"The Volturi guards. They'll be here soon, start burning the bodies" they made at least 15 piles of bodies, all leaving to burn around the clearing until Caleb and Bella came back. Seth had told Caleb about the Volturi's coming through the pack link and they got down quickly.

"How long?" Caleb asked worriedly as he walked over with Bella's hand in his own. He didn't have time to leave the clearing with Bella, especially with her scent lingering around everywhere. It would seem like she was hiding and they couldn't do that.

"A few minutes, 15, I think"

"The pack needs to leave" Carlisle spoke up.
"The Volturi won't honour a truce with the werewolves" the wolves slowly made their way over, until a sound caught all of their attention. One by one the eyes went over to the edge of the clearing where a man stood. A man awfully familiar to Athena, yet so different.

He was different now, of course being turned into a vampire. But he looked more menacing, more mean and she didn't think he could look anymore angry than their nights together, but she was wrong.

She had completely forgotten. She had been too busy fighting she forgot he was turned, that he would he there

"Thea-" Jasper's voice called out but she barely even recognised it as she took a step towards Max. She missed Edward's hands going to reach for her own as well as the shared looks and growls between the wolves.

"Athena" he met her halfway, but she still was no where close to him, not as much as he liked anyone.
"Athena, baby. Come home" she tensed, her shoulders aching.

"I'm not going anywhere with you" she paused her eyes darting nervously around the clearing. It was strange how he still made her so scared even though she had her powers back now.
"My home is here" he looked around too, his eyes finding Edward's who had slowly gotten closer to them with the rest of his family, even the wolves.
